In addition to getting the job done, they listened to my requirements; the access hole (in the wall) was negligible; took the initiative to upgrade a secondary power point to a normal power point (you can never have too many); and kept it all very tidy.

Richard showed up on time and had a excellent demeanor from the start. I explained the current complicated electrical mess, and told him what I wanted done, and he got onto it pronto. His work was extremely neat and tidy, and he also enabled a proxy power point which was a bonus.
We did have to reschedule the work from the original day by 1 day, Julie did call earlier to ask/inform me of the delay- so great communication from the team."

"Home solar energy is becoming very important as one of the tools to reduce carbon emissions as well as reducing homeowner's high energy bills. "I had an integrated scope of work to do. On top of the solar system installation I was looking to get a switchboard upgrade, LED lights installed and a heat pump hot water cylinder to be installed. Not only was Greenco's pricing very competitive, they were able to talk me through a range of options. Then when I decided to go ahead they quickly arranged for all the work to be done. "CDR Electrical installed a new fan into our bathroom, which had a real issue with getting very steamy owing to the small size of the room and the very powerful shower. We were looking to install an automatic fan to solve the problem. They really went the extra mile to find the right product and provide exactly what was needed to solve the problem. Both to the office staff and to the Electricians.
I'm giving them 100% as the job was re-wiring a shabby 80 year old house, which would not have been easy.
The electricians were easy to communicate with and got on with the job.
The job was done over a few days and it was cool coming home seeing the changes, and I was not inconvenienced by any of the work.
All done now and I'm wrapped.
And I was very happy with the cost - thought very reasonable.
Heading now into winter and I feel safe using more electricity and the place with its modern fixtures looks cool."

"We recently hired CDR Electrical to install three new power points for us - the majority of the wiring was already accessible in the required areas (installed by the electricians that wired our new house a year ago and allowed for this future proofing). We scheduled an appointment with an electrician at CDR Electrical to see the areas, discuss the work and provide a quote (9am that day). The quote seemed reasonable (approximately $200 incl GST was verbally estimated) and the electrician said he could do that work straight away but he needed to go and get some materials. He returned at 10am and completed the work before 11am (within an hour). The work was completed to a satisfactory level. We received the invoice last week and saw that 2 hours of labour was charged. We questioned the time charged, noting that he didn't do any physical works until 10am. Arguably we think he could charge half an hour for travel and preparation time but the half hour spent with us talking and providing a quote should not be. Disappointingly CDR Electrical consider this time chargeable (if we had not agreed to the work this time would never have been claimable). Value for money wise, we are very disappointed with CDR Electrical and will not be recommending them or using them again in the future."

"Mark who is the owner of the business was really good at coming to the house and talking through what needed to be done. Steve who is the electrician who did the job was very good. "CDR Electrical were great to deal with. They came around to investigate the problem (battery, dust, age of sensors etc) before recommending a full alarm replacement. This gave me confidence they were offering the right solution for me rather than the best solution for them. They were quick to respond and to set up an appt time. The entire process from the initial phone call to full installation was about two weeks. I was impressed by them and would recommend CDR Electrical.

"We had asked CDR to come out to look into whether we need to upgrade our switchboard, as per advise of another Electrician. They came out and determined it could be solved much more simply by adding another fuse and separating some wires. I was really impressed with the honesty of this company, as they could have easily gotten us to do a more expensive upgrade. We will continue using them for all of our future electrical needs. "We had CDR Electrical in to sort out our stove top as we were running two speed cooking - on or off. To add complication we were in the process of preparing our house to rent before moving overseas.

They turned up when they said they would and the job was completed promptly without complaints - even with the gross nature of the back of the stove.

A quick fix and a very reasonable bill, we wouldn't hesitate in recommending CDR Electrical.

When we were sent the invoice, with all we had going on with our move both my partner and I thought each other had paid. However a friendly reminder was sent and a personalised response after we explained why we hadn't paid. Even some well wishes with our new adventure!"

"I have been wanting to have some work done on my home for sometime. I finally called CDR Electrical, my local electrician, to book the job.
From my first point of contact, the team here were honest and realistic about the time frame the job was going to be executed. I was in no hurry, so it gave me time to get items organised. The booking was quickly confirmed.
Steve touched base with me in the morning, to let me know an emergeny had popped up. He still met me on site at the agreed time so I could go through what I needed done. He made sure he fully understood what I was after before I left the site. I felt completely at ease leaving him on site with a house key and confident he knew what I needed.
Steve called me when he completed the job, and he reassured me that if anything was out of sorts to call him back.
Needless to say, I did not need to call him back. When I got home, I was so happy with the finished results. Steve left all the spaces as clean as they were before he carried out the work. It was nice to get those jobs done and now enjoy the little things in life.
I have not been invoiced yet, as they have been really busy, obviously their repuation preceeds them. The fantastic service and execution of the work provided makes it worth it."

"We had a potentially dangerous situation with our heat pump unit bursting into flames after a mains fault, which sent all our appliances into "beeping" mode and was a rather distressing situation not knowing what the problem was. However Mark arrived promptly, was calm and reassuring and quickly worked out the problem and went about correcting the situation!

"We have a narrow dark alley way in our rental property, the sensor lights we had kept getting problems with the rain and having to get replaced. I asked Brian to come up with a solution to provide light for the alley way and Brian found some great LED lights with separate sensors each end and fully rewired these. The tenants love the new lights and am really happy with his work. Good to engage an electrician with many years of experience who will give you advise on the best products and what other people are installing and what's happening in the market place.

"Mark was exceptionally thorough in tidying up our electrical problems that we had in our recently purchased 1960 house in Wainui. We asked CDR to wire up an outside hot water cylinder and install some power points, a heated towel rail ,a light/heat extractor unit in the bathroom, wire up a new stove and remove redundant wiring. "Requested inspection for job on Tuesday, asked to start Friday. Prewire done as requested on the Friday. I then had a bunch of work to complete which meant Mark had to wait for me. When completed my work Marks worker was back to complete the job as soon they could. Job done in a timely manner and well done.

"I am an award winning Licensed Master Builder and my Building Company serves the whole Wellington area. We have been using CDR Electrical for all my electrical work for the past 10 years including new houses, large renovations, extensions, small bathrooms and the smallest of jobs. They are one of the biggest asset to my company and have provided a fantastic service to my customer's and my company.
Their quotations are well written and describe every thing they are supplying and note all the other items that are not included so you get a realistic idea what service they are offering.

I was on a job removing structural walls yesterday in which my customer asked me if I knew a good electrician to move a lot of light switches and hotpoint's. I contacted Brian and he had Richard on site the next day and completed the work in six hours which I though it would take him a very long day. It was a tough job which took a lot of patience. A very clean and tidy job left at the end.

They also meet up with my customer's to find out what they require and discuss their budgets and provided to me a quotation(which I pass on to my customer's) that is more than favourable and competitive. Their service is second to none. There is no arrogance at all with their attitude in their approach to my customers or me. They just want to help people.

My parents and family have used them time and again for their new work. I have worked with all their staff and Brian and Mark. I am more than happy to have them as part of my team and to recommend them to everyone.

One thing though don't rely on their golf tips lol. They should stick to Electrical.
