"Exceptional service. We had 3 very large trees and a few smaller ones right next to our house that we needed cut down fairly urgently before we could finish renovations on our roof. Shaun was at our place within a few hours of my initial phone call. He assessed and quoted the job on the spot, and returned the next day with another team member to complete it. They were polite, professional, and the trees landed exactly where we'd planned. They took care not to damage anything else in the… surrounding area and garden, and took care when driving their vehicle on our lawn. Quality job done at a great price. Highly recommend them and I will definitely be using them again in the future."

"Shaun and his team removed a tree broken in a storm. It was a challenging and quite technical job next to a road with telephone lines and 2 fences in very close proximity. They disassembled the tree using ropes and avoided damage to any of the obstructions. The real skill and understanding of physics the team showed was truly impressive and looked more like art form than hard physical effort. The price was also very competitive. I have had this team here before on simpler jobs and will… certainly call them again."

"Excellent service for pruning and felling two trees. The quote was easy to organise. The work was done extremely well by 3-4 very friendly and approachable guys. They frequently checked with me regarding my expectations regarding height etc of pruning. I was impressed with their tidy up as well as the extra effort taken to stake a few bushes that had been inadvertently damaged with the tree felling. Thankyou! "

"I have used Hardfell twice to cut trees around my property. First in August 2022 and was so impressed, I used them again last week. Hand over my heart, they did a superb job of cutting the requested trees and left such a tidy result that my neighbour came over to say wow. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to everyone. Totally great staff and zero trace of residue or twigs etc.

"Shaun and his team did an amazing job removing and mulching some large pine trees on my property and my neighbour's property. The quality of work was fantastic and their machinery produced some very high quality mulch for us to use. There were some trees growing in difficult to access native bush but Shaun and his team were able to remove them without any major damage to our fencing. The pricing for the job was excellent value compared to other companies. We will definitely use them again… for any other work. Thank you."

"Shaun came out quickly after a large branch fell from our banksia tree to assess the work and advise us about the risk from the remaining tree. He arranged for his team to visit the next working day to remove the broken branch and the remainder of the tree. His team were hardworking, safe and very effective. They removed the tree and left the garden looking tidier than it had in years. 100% I would use and recommend Hardfell Ltd again. "

"We've been using Shaun and his Hardfell team for all our tree work for years and can't fault them. Shaun is excellent in explaining everything and always goes the extra mile to make sure you're happy. Every person who has done work on our property has been reliable, efficient and professional to deal with. They turn up on time and always leave the property tidy. Today we just had some mulch delivered and they offered to quickly trim back some branches to make sure nothing was damaged when… unloading. Can't recommend them highly enough."

"Shaun and the boys have been to out 1ha block a number of times over the last few years to complete the bigger jobs that I couldn't do alone or safely. Block was overgrown with a number of large pine/macs (20m+ and up to 2.5m diameter) that were dying. All of them have been complex and big jobs that the team completed effortlessly and within time expected. Highly skilled professionals who take their work seriously, have good gear, and are safety conscious. I have no hesitation to have them… back, and I recommend to all friends and family. Cheers guys"

"3rd time in using the team from Hardfell, always on time and very professional. I have had them remove large limbs off a high pine tree, removed hedges and stump grinding.

I'm now in the process of booking them for a fourth time.

"The quote was reasonable. Luke discussed what we wanted and also came with me to sort access with the neighbor to the bamboo. The job consisted of cutting a high and wide stand of bamboo down to about 2 .5 metres and tiding it on the sides and also pruning some medium sized trees. Jasper, Jack and Laloa were punctual and worked very hard all day. They were all approachable and polite and checked back with me a couple of times to see if what they were doing was what I wanted. They cleaned up… well and I was very please with everything they did. Would definitely recommend these guys."

They performed a comprehensive survey of our property to get a solid understanding of what we were hoping to achieve with the pruning of our many pohutukawa trees. "After hearing rave reviews on the radio from Peter Wolfcamp, referring to the great work Shaun and the team had carried for him. I decided to get a quote and give them a try.
I got Shaun and his team of men to trim and remove dead branches from my large Pohutukawa tree. Also to clear power lines for safety. Prior to the work commencing a detailed conversation was held to confirm the work needed and to make sure I was fully informed. The arborists were meticulous and professional. All safety… precautions were carried out as the tree was near a public pathway. I requested some of the dead branches for my fireplace, these were cut to size and stacked neatly for me. My section was left very clean and tidy, all branches mulched and removed.

I was so pleased with my tree after the work was completed as it looks neat and tidy and it’s difficult to see where the branches have been removed. Thanks to Shaun and the 3 men that attended my job. I would 100% recommend Hardfell Ltd."

"It was purely by chance that I found Hardfell Ltd., as I had noticed them over a couple of days that they were at my kid's school. I am so glad I got their information, because not only did Luke promptly come out to provide a quote for multiple trees that needed a variety of work done, ranging from removal, topping, and pruning, the quote was also rather competitive, especially given that Hardfell Ltd is licensed in comparison to the other companies that I received quotes from. The process from… start (generation of the quote + updating the quote) to finish (completion of work + tidy up) was absolutely seamless. On the day of the job, the work crew showed up on time, was careful and thorough with the work to be performed, checked in with me to see if it was to my satisfaction, answered the multiple questions I asked, and left everything practically spotless. "I had a pretty urgent situation when a HUGE, old tree blew partially over in a storm. The tree had tipped over and was braced and balancing on one of its own branches and was threatening to take out a whole fence line here on our farm. Hardfell was super quick to respond to messages and provided excellent advice - it was decided the job needed to be done sooner than later and Shaun literally showed up minutes later!!! After 15 years in our place, this was the best tree cut we have had and will definitely be using Hardfell again. "Shaun’s team did a wonderful job taking down a large dead oak tree, and leaving the property with not a sign they had been! It was a tricky job, involving lowering branches with a fence, garden shed, shade house with brittle roof, and a glass house immediately underneath. "I had the boys from Hardfell Ltd come by to handle an overgrown phoenix palm that was becoming an eyesore.
They did a great job and made our outdoor area look a lot cleaner, brighter and tidier.
The boys Ben and Cullen were very professional and polite and did a lot of work in not that much time.
I had them booked in pre-lockdown but wasnt able to go ahead with the level changes, once we were back to level 3 and the team could work again they were in touch very quickly and rebooked in… straight away.

Very impressed with the quality of work and communication, highly recommend to anyone."

"We needed rescuing. A silly old rotten wattle tree decided to try and trap us by taking a nap across our driveway. 5 individuals trapped. 7 am and I message Shaun that we needed rescuing. "We were very impressed with Ron and Bobby. They turned up when they said they would. Their were workmanship is second to none! Given the proximity to the house and the fact there was a fence below the trees, there was zero damage. It was awesome watching Bobby trim the trees as he swung through the trees like a spider monkey with a chainsaw. That being said, it is very obvious that they take health and safety very seriously.
We now have so much light into that end of the house, and I can… finally watch the ducks in the pond from the kitchen.

It gives me such pleasure every time I come down our drive, seeing how level the trees are - I cannot believe the boys didn't use a spirit level!

We were so happy with the Hardfell team that we've used them a couple more times since, including their stump grinding services. The stumps ranged in size from a small plate to small table, neither were an issue for the team. And once again they left the site clean and tidy."
