"I had been using a chimney sweep recommended by a friend but was not happy with the 10 minute job they were doing sweeping our chimney from below, from inside the house. I then found Howie's details on Neighbourly. He is BRILLIANT and extremely affordable. He cleans the chimney from both ends. He said over half of the soot builds up in the top half of the chimney so it is important to clean from that end. Going onto the roof also means he can clean the cowl at the top of the chimney. The cap… on the top of my chimney was loose so he riveted it back on and also cleared a few gutters for free while he was up there. Howie has a special form he completes for each chimney he services and inspects so customers can keep this information if ever needed for insurance purposes. He also keeps copies of these forms himself over a long period so there is a backup copy for customers. He can also do chimney repairs and will do this in the most cost effective manner for customers.
