"I’ve had ongoing issues with my ducted system over the years, and Canar ended up replacing the entire system for me. After the install, we still had problems with airflow, but he stuck with it and kept trying different solutions until we got to the root of the issue. Because my system was older with very long duct runs, it needed additional fans to properly push the air through, something most modern systems don’t account for.

He really went above and beyond, especially during a very hot summer when we needed it most.

He’s also done a lot of maintenance work for me over the years and has consistently fixed issues that larger companies like Fonko couldn’t resolve."

"I've done the research so you dont have to! Working with Canar was fantastic. While being reasonably priced, Canar was attentive, with excellent communication and no task too small. Canar was incredibly thoughtful and mindful and while he was doing the installation, I was trying to work, while also having 2 inside cats that we didn't want to go outside. Canar made sure that he, and all those working with him for the installation were mindful of both, while also trying to complete their own work. I couldn't recommend Canar enough and personally, for future heatpump installation needs I will look no where else! "Canar and his tradespeople were friendly, hard-working and reliable. Our job was a four day complex one to replace a gas ducted unit with a heat pump central unit. The quality of work was great. Canar was so hardworking, friendly, professional and communicative. His timings were spot on and his work ethic was proven repeatedly as trustworthy (in terms of when payment required, and sorting out removal of old system). He took the extra care to hide the ducting inside a cabinet with a builder, when I asked if another alternative given could be avoided. He was patient with me when I needed to make decisions. We had two rentals that needed heating installed and he quickly arranged to meet me on site where we agreed to install Daikin Heat Pumps in both. "Canar did an excellent job of replacing an old Daikin 3.5kw unit that I had installed over 21 years ago in 1998 with a new Cora FTXM50U after first replacing an old Mitsubishi electric in a bedroom with a FTXM25U that hadn't lasted anywhere near as long a few weeks earlier. Both went faulty in the winter of 2019. Not worth fixing.
I had been searching high and wide for the best units to have fitted and decided to go with Daikin again as it was probably the best as it lasted so long and was quiet, they are also still made in the same country after 22 years. In the USA on Amazon they have a 12 year warranty, here we get 5 years, I never had a call out in 21 years out of warranty and just cleaned the filters, I find it best to wash them as they can get a little grease on them, this one was close to the kitchen.
So yearly servicing by a tech is probably best saved up if you can wash the filters and put it toward a replacement in future.
The wifi is great to turn on the unit when out for dinner or coming home early from work to work in the office, although a little challenging for a bit at first, I should have read the Manual on the app as you need to save details of "Not at Home" (out of house) on the left side of options in app after creating the user name and password on the right side.
And you need to wait a bit for the app to work, some times it takes a few seconds for it to work, once setup it can take over a minute to work through there system, but work it does, so all good for go in the end.
I got the best deal for the wifi add on from Canar and overall am very impressed, sad to have to need these in 2020, in the 1970's we just needed more heaters and air cond in the car.
Canar knows what to do if we get over 46 c, they use a different system in hotter countries, so we are all good for the future, he is very knowledgeable and does the installs so you get the professional on the job. Which is great . On time and took the old heat pumps away and cleaned up well after a long day each time. Best installs I have had done. Go well."

"Needed a heat pump installed into rental property town house, I reached out to several suppliers, Canar was first to respond.
He got that he needed to liaise with the tenants, quoted quickly and had the tenants approval.
Another supplier was off hand, missed the first appointment and kept trying to set time up with me not the tenant.
Canar was marginally cheaper but a much beeter experience.
The install was done well on time on quality and on price. He tidied up too.
The sparky he used was... adequate, there was a bit of damage around the wall outlet and a minor amount of mess. Canar had worked to such a good standard that the sparkys work was the only thing that stops me saying perfect job.

"Introduction/Background:

Our old heat pump suddenly stopped working just as the temperature dropped so we were looking to quickly obtain a new one.

Although we were in a hurry to purchase a new heat pump, i wanted to ensure that the replacement unit was the correct size for the space, energy efficient and made by a reputable brand. I did extensive research before contacting numerous companies to obtain quotes and/or organise an on-site consultation.

There are a vast number of heat pump suppliers/installers in Auckland providing varying levels of service. Some wouldn't provide an estimate over the phone, others wouldn't give unbiased advice and pushed the brands that suited them.

Eventually i decided to go with either; Mitsubishi Electric or Daikin. I obtained a few quotes for each model and the Mitsubishi was cheaper to purchase/install but the Daikin was more efficient to run. I was struggling to make a decision until i stumbled upon I-Air Projects.

Review - Consultation and Quote:

I phoned Canar and asked for a quote over the phone; he was upfront, honest and provided a very competitive estimate. He explained that Mitsubishi currently had a supply issue and we would have to wait weeks before he could obtain a unit. I phoned him back later that afternoon and arranged for him to come to my house the following day for an on-site consultation and an accurate quote.

He advised/confirmed the best models for the intended space and provided some brochures for each brand. He was polite, genuine and promised to give me a good price; which he emailed through later that evening.

He was true to his word and did provide a very good price, I initially thought it was too good to be true and wondered what the catch was! However, based on the reviews on this website and after some further email communication with Canar i decided to proceed. I accepted the quote on Wednesday evening and he agreed to do the install on the coming Monday - Going out of his way to satisfy our request for an urgent installation.

Review - Installation and Workmanship:

He turned up on time and worked tirelessly throughout the day. He gave me the option to keep the existing capping or replace it with new capping. He recommended replacing it and upon viewing the new capping i agreed.

He was polite throughout and happily answered my questions about the unit and the installation. I got the impression that he would rather take his time and do the job properly, rather than sacrifice quality for speed.

The end result is a tidy and professional install; the pipework and capping to the outdoor unit were very well executed even though it is largely out of site. I'm disappointed that i didn't take a 'before' photo to help illustrate how much better it looks now.

Conclusion:

I'm quite particular and i know i can be hard to please, especially when it comes to work on my vehicles and house. Having said that, I'm very satisfied with the advice, product and workmanship provided by Canar. He communicates well and genuinely appears to put the customer's needs first.

We are very satisfied with our new Daikin Cora FTXM50R heat pump and the Wi-Fi option is a game changer. The app allows you to monitor and control the unit whilst you are away from home, it also makes programming the timer a breeze. We have only used the unit for heating so far but it has done the job with ease.

I would happily use Canar for our future heat pump requirements and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Canar and I-Air Projects to family and friends."
