"We contacted KB Contracting to help us with what we thought was a drainage problem. Clinton came and looked at our issue and found the real source of the problem and recommended a different solution. He took the panic out of the situation, even though it meant KB wouldn't get a job out of it. So we didn't end up actually using KB, but becuase of Clinton's professionalism, logical thought process and expertise I wanted to write a review. I would have no hesitation in contacting them again."

"We needed concrete laid by our garage to stop flooding and spent months trying to get people to turn up, or return our calls or commit to the job. We found Bensons Contracting through friends and they managed to fit our small job in between bigger jobs. Its all done now and we’re so grateful for their help and the professional job they did. "I can't say enough about this business, these guys have been amazing.
We were landed in a nasty situation where another contractor pulled out of the job we were looking to have done on the day they were supposed to start. This left us with no one to do the work and deadlines that had to be met.
I got in touch with KB Contracting, Karl came out the next day, got a quote through to us when he said he would and was able to start the work a few days later.
At all stage they let me know… what was going on, the quality of their work has been fantastic and the guys doing the work have been professional, and really pleasant to interact with.

As is usual with this type of work, we asked for more to be done. Once again, the team were quick to help out, clear on what was going to be involved and got the work done.

The result of the work that has been done is certainly far better than we had ever hoped and as such we will certainly be in touch again for the next projects that we intend to do."

"We used KB for the earthworks and retaining walls for our house build when we had been let down by another contractor.
They were awesome to deal with.
Good communication from the workers and admin team. The boys even worked through a mild cyclone to get the job done.
We came across an issue with the earthworks and retaining walls - but instead of putting their hands in the air and saying "its too hard" Karl thought outside the box to find a solution to keep us on our build… timeline.

We were so impressed, we got them back at the end of the build to to our fences and driveway. Once again it was done to a very high quality - although slightly more expensive than other quotes we had received but we didn't mind as they did a great job.

Highly recommend."

"The tradesmen on the job were lovely- polite, good communication and good quality of work. I thought that the management could be improved. We were told the job may start the next week for a couple of months, but it was leading up to Xmas so I guess they were busy. Then we were asked why we hadn't paid the invoice when the job wasn't completed and we hadn't actually received an invoice. "

"We had a garage built by a different company, and we wanted a new concrete pad in front of the garage as well as replacing the old broken up driveway. We asked KB for a quote on the two latter items, and gave a timeline on the garage, as they had to be done in that order. Clint turned up the same week (back in December) we'd asked for a quote to give us one, and phoned us regularly from that point to find out when they could start - we hadn't even paid them anything! This is basically how… the whole project went with KB - great communication with them chasing us and not the other way around! When we finally got around to them starting on their projects, Clint and Johnny told us what was happening and when, and were always true to their word. They did a great job and the invoices were to the quote too! The guys always left the section so clean and tidy! Very impressed. They even supplied a drainlayer when we needed one!

Not only that, we ended up having a few cubic metres of dirt left over from the job. We did a few trailer loads by hand to dump off, but then decided it was too hard to carrying on doing it manually as it was mostly clay and heavy work, so we contacted KB again. No problem for them to do a small job! They sent around a small digger to remove the pile, so now we can progress with landscaping that area! I can't praise or thank them enough for a job well done, and the superb communication. I would gladly use them again, or refer anyone else to them! Awesome!"

It is important to us that people do what they say and Clinton was very good in this area. The quote and revised quotes came promptly and the work started and progressed as we were told it would.

"Absolutely awesome guys to deal with, turned up on time everytime!!
We had Clinton out to look at what was a really big job,it involved the removal of an old driveway and reinstating of a totally new driveway in a new location at more that twice the size requiring a new 6m crossing to the road which required council permits with inspections,on top of that was concrete paths that had to be laid,landscaping that needed to be done and a new design for the entrance to the front door. Clinton came… up with so many great ideas that I hadn't even considered which was great and just

dealing with Clinton helped tremendously as nothing was a problem, I would ring him up to discuss any queries I would have and he would happily discuss these with me answering any questions that I had. He went above and beyond (No exaggeration as I've dealt with a few project managers) of what was asked of him and I feel the world would be a better place with the professionalism that Clinton and the guys at KB Contracting delivered. "arrived late on site and finished late. They did not arrive on site with all necessary materials and were uncertain on exactly what was required ,clearly their is a lack of communication between there consultant and the team who carried out the work.I was told they would use a jack hammer and instead used a 15 pd hand hammer and crow bar to remove a small walkway.The end result was damage to my driveway ,which after endless calls to this company was finally repaired on the 20/02/2015 some 2… months later.

If your looking for a quality,timeous contractor i would definately not recommend this concern."

"I was going to write to you to congratulate you on the work your people did here. They were considerate, friendly, and we commented on their attention to detail as we had our lunch and watched them working hard in the sun. As part of the site preparation, they discovered a drain that had been covered previously. The senior guy checked with us to see what we wanted to happen with it, and when we asked his opinion, he suggested including it in the planned pour, and they made it look good.
As… the concrete is not yet dry, we have no opinion of the long term level of workmanship, but with what we have now, I would have no hesitation in recommending these guys to friends and associates.

"I found KB Contracting in the Rodney yellow pages. That guided me to the web site, which was very easy to follow, and right away, I knew they would suit my needs .I sent an email, telling them about the job we needed doing, which was a concrete footpath. I got an email right back from Vicky telling me some one would be out to price the job, and sure enough by 6pm, we had the job priced. It was just this past Wednesday, the work was started, and its now Friday, and the main job has been… finished, and it looks great."

"My wife and I have really revelled in the experience of being served by a top notch professional company. From the start of the process with the inspection, seeking out exactly what we wanted done and finding that there would be no restrictions on achieving our planned outcomes. The receipt of an easily read and thorough quote to arranging payment of the deposit with great service at their office to starting at the time agreed to even though the weather was somewhat variable we have been… respected by all the team members who came on site and did their part of the job. The staff were all very respectful, no dogs or blaring radios on site and everything was left as clean and orderly as practically possible at the end of each day. The job was regularly reviewed by a senior staff member and we were kept informed at all times. The completed job has exceeded our expectations and we were very happy that there were no additional charges other than for two other jobs we asked to be done and had been verbally quoted on. "Can't rate this company enough, from meeting Karl on the first day to discuss what we could do with my unusable back garden, his knowledge on landscaping, was invaluable, everyone who comes to my place absolutely loves it, wish this site let you attach photos!
His workers go beyond what you would expect , all nice guys and can't do enough for you, the price was I below what I had in mind, and the quality is A1! I would recommend this company to everybody! "

All of the the guys involved were a pleasure to have on site, they arrived promptly, completed the job on time and consulted us every step of the way. We were also impressed with the way the muddy areas around the concrete were re instated with top soil and grass seed. We would have no hesitation recommending KB contracting."

"Very happy with our driveway concreting job. Tried 4 companies- these people provided by far the best service, and the better price of the two who ended up quoting. "The job was for Chopper Tree\'d and it was the best quote, came highly recommended by neighbours and was done on time and communication with Sonny was excellent. However the website let the firm down when my initial request went through the website by email and no contact was made with me and I had to follow up with a phone call. However from then on it was all brilliant.

"Ours was a concrete job that started off reasonably small but grew as things developed. Some unforeseen and some that should probably have been foreseen.
A negotiated outcome was achieved and the job became much larger.
All the personnel on site and in the office were polite, reliable and punctual.
The end result looks great.
They get my recommendation"

"Karl and his team are the real deal. My site was an awkward access,
Very restricted and rock filled Mt Eden front yard with a big tree stuck in the middle. A real challenge requiring approx 30tonne of rock to be removed and trenching to be dug. Foreman and operator John handled this patiently and to perfection with zero damage to tree or surrounding house or property. I can confidently recommend this team for the pride they take in achieving the best result for their client,

We greatly appreciated being given appointment times which were adhered to or we were contacted in good time if changes needed to be made. The work was done exactly to our specifications and an oversight was corrected the same day we notified them of this. At all times, we were treated politely and our property was treated with respect.
