"I wholeheartedly recommend Kirsten as a landscape designer. She is professional, clear, detailed and spends time making herself fully aware of the clients' needs. We first approached Kirsten having just bought one hectare of land in semi rural Auckland. From day one she has made site visits, and given invaluable advice at all stages, beyond her remit on some occasions. She constantly checked back to see our response to each stage of the design. Her communication is to a very high standard, she… is always quick to respond to any queries, even well after the plan was completed. Her final design was truly excellent, creative and full of the practicalities and different mood spaces we had asked for. She recommended plants and ideas I never would have thought of and included some of the plants i had brought with me that fitted the style. For the final scheme, we received a full large scale colour plan, a detailed planting plan, pictures and detailed instructions to accompany each phase, plus extra copies of each. Finally, what I as a client really appreciated was that Kirsten was trustworthy, honest and supportive when discussing (some maybe unrealistic) ideas the client might have (as I did). She has a keel sense of humour which helps.

We are really enjoying creating the beautiful vision Kirsten tailored to the specific conditions and aspects of our site."

"Kirsten Sach met with me on site, and asked the right questions to create a very thorough brief.
The first draft was very close to what I wanted with a few tweaks, which was no problem to Kirsten. I loved the way Kirsten listened, made suggestions as to plants and trees that would suit the soil and sun, and was open to ideas.
In a very timely fashion, I had a full set of very detailed drawings with a very accurate key of which plants were and how many. Perfect for the next step to get a… quote from the Landscapers.

"Kirsten did such a fantastic job on our garden design- we wanted a bit of Fiji, but being west akl, Fiji wasn't really going to work! Kirsten proposed plants that would fit the description but still work in our sub-tropical back yard and be hardy to a wee bit of frost. She gave us tips for maintenance, provided all the plants and recommended an equally fantastic gardener to implement the design. 4 months on, we really do have a sub tropical paradise and we can't wait to see what it will be like… in the future!"

"We renovated the front of our bungalow in Grey Lynn and commissioned Kirsten to design the small pocket handkerchief size front garden (approx 3x3m). This is overlooked from the bi-fold windows of the lounge and so is important as an extension of this space. She listened carefully to our brief and challenged this where we were unrealistic (there is no such thing as a no-maintenance garden apparently!).
Kirsten responded with a concept design that looked fantastic, with layers of texture and… colour. She sourced our plants, including the all-important feature Nikau palm with trunk. She also worked closely with her recommended team from Urbis to implement the planting plan.

Fast forward 18 months and now the plants are established, the garden looks exactly as per the original concept drawing and exceeds expectations.

Thanks to Kirsten and Adam from Urbis we look out every day on a garden that feels like a work of art."

"After decades of neglect while the property was tenanted followed by a major renovation project, our small city back garden was until recently a weed covered, muddy mess. We had lots of ideas about what we wanted to achieve with the space - a varied and interesting garden, paths, a big vegetable bed , espaliered citrus trees, retain the one substantial tree and the existing ferns, nothing too costly... but little idea how to achieve this.

"Kirsten was recommended to us by our friends. We then had a look at her feedback on NoCowboys and was comfortable using her. Kirsten showed up for a couple of meetings - she was always on time. We really had no idea what we wanted but Kirsten has designed something for us that we think will look very good - she also recommended a couple of landscapers who could execute the plan - we ended up using Gabriel from PlantMoreTrees (who she recommended) and are very happy with their work. Kirsten… worked with Gabriel to ensure the plants were placed in the correct positions. At the moment we have a garden that looks significantly better than the one we had before. Thanks Kirsten!"

She listened to what I wanted and incorporated some of it but didn\'t hesitate to recommend something much better. Her skill at quickly coming up with designs for a given space while taking into account the uses and limitations of the space was very impressive. "We were a initially a bit nervous about employing a landscape designer as we had some ideas of what we wanted and were worried about ending up with a plan that didn\'t suit us.Kirsten exceeded our expectations and was very easy to communicate and discuss our ideas with.We now have a fabulous concept and planting plan to follow as time and finances allow. Even though we had some idea of what we thought would work we wouldn\'t have been able to visualize the garden area as Kirsten was able to.… The overall shape of decking and paving and plant selection will be fabulous when completed. "Kirsten went way beyond her original brief to produce a fully documented plan which will enable us to carry out a three year planting program for our Onehunga property.
Kirsten\'s plan included a breakdown of the plant costs for each stage. She also provided contacts for providing the labour and outdoor lighting.

"Was very pleased to have encountered Kirsten\'s online website and even more pleased when it conveyed pictorial examples of a gardening style (among others) that seemed in tune with my focus for my property. To date, not many seemed to have come close.
AND...she featured on No Cowboys!
Having made immediate contact with her I was further impressed that Kirsten lived locally..how cool is that
Kirsten was always on time for our meetings and her (mostly online ) communication was very… prompt.

She clearly outlined what her service provided with associated costs appended. After her initial visit to determine my \"vision\" she documented and forwarded the brief which was a faithful summary of what had been discussed.

Further site visits for measurements etc were very thorough and both the garden concept draft and final plan were professionally prepared and delivered having allowed for online and face to face discussion and amandments in between.

The concept plan was all I currently required and it was completed within a couple of weeks of my first call.

No time wasted.

I observed Kirsten to be a friendly, busy but committed professional who sought to actively and enthusiastically engage with the client whilst seeking to deliver excellence in her craft. Thanks Kirsten."

"We used Kristen on a consultancy basis and were really stoked with the service.
Kirsten took time to understand what we wanted and what styles we like. I found Kristen was upfront and forthright - I appreciated her \'telling it like it is\'. She gave us some great ideas that we are putting into practice to make our outdoor areas look more coherent and stylish. We have one area that in particular is challenging and Kirsten was able blend realism with creativity to come up with a… suggestion.
