"Ive known M and M since they started some 30 years ago, and they do fences on my rentals whenever I need them. Same owners and my contact Andrew has been there since forever. They build a BEAUTIFUL timber "three rail and top cap" fence cheaper than I can buy the materials from Bunnings. Great workmanship too, fences are always laser-straight. "We had an old fence fall over during a storm. We contacted M&M fencing to provide us with a quote. They promptly came to assess our requirements and provided us with a very reasonable quote. Which we gladly accepted.
The work was then completed to a very high standard. Removing the old rotten fence. Leaving our property spotless. Couldn’t ask for better service.
We also had a couple of old gates replaced that had never worked well but had been put into our too hard basket. M&M replaced the old wobbly wooden gates with sturdy steel framed gates. They were able to make these match the rest of our fences."

"We engaged MM fencing to price a boundary fence at our address in Beachlands, I meet Andrew at home and discussed what we were looking to achieve which was a high-quality fence that would embrace the feel of our relatively new home and complete the landscaping.
My wife and I found Andrew to be very knowledgeable and easy to deal with he provided two different options on styles and recommended using a higher quality post to achieve the look we were looking for which we took on board and are glad we did. The end result was above our expectations from Andrews initial visit and recommendation of styles and options to the team of guys that arrived on site to carry out the work. The work area was left clean and tidy, and they guys were a pleasure to have at our home and very respectful.
We often have people comment on the quality of the fence and the look of it, we would highly recommend Andrw and the team to anyone looking for fencing requirements."

"M&M were used to replace an old boundary fence that had practically disintegrated. The quote was originally accepted in Nov-14 but only done in late Jan-15. Other workmen we've had politely knock on the door to announce they're starting. M&M however just turned up, annihilated the garden, and took minimal care. They did remove the old fence, however there are still bits of the old retaining wall posts left that we will have to remove ourselves. The actual fence itself is ok and looks sturdy enough, though we will never use them again"

"M&M Fencing have installed a 20m retaining wall for me.
This was the first time I had used a contractor to do work for me, as I am an avid DIYer and prefer to do the work myself, as I have exacting standards and I just can't stand the thought of paying hard earned money for sub standard work. I am sure a lot of you can relate.
But, as the saying goes, "there's a first time for everything".
M&M was one of 9 outfits that quoted for me. They were not the cheapest, but by no means the dearest either.
I am a firm believer in first impressions and when it came down to a deciding factor, Andrew from M&M swayed my decision to take them on to install my retainer.
He came across to me as very easy going and very accommodating. The type of guy you could have a beer with and shoot the breeze.
My impressions of Andrew induced an expectation of the work being of a high standard and he did not disappoint.
The wall was built within 3 days. They had pulled out all stops to get it done for me as quickly as possible.
Needless to say, I was chuffed at the finished product and rather pleased with myself, making the right choice in taking on M&M.
Now, I have them lined up to replace my 20 year old fence line.
It is great that we have forums like this to be able to sing the praises of good contractors.

"M&M Fencing gave us a very competitive price and I was pleased with the thoroughness of their quote assessment. The fences and gates they built are good and solid, though some of the uprights and finishing were a bit rough.
Overall I was happy with the job, with a couple of quibbles - the job took twice as long to start (six weeks vs three) as quoted, and the cleanup was terrible - bits of wood and concrete left everywhere, rubbish and cigarette butts left on our lawn, and spare concrete just poured away down a bank where presumably they thought we wouldn't notice. To their credit, they apologised when notified and returned to remove the concrete (a week later).
Communication was pretty poor, and someone needs to tell their office manager that sending emails all in capital letters MAKES IT SOUND LIKE YOU ARE SHOUTING AT YOUR CUSTOMERS."

"I had two fences put up in January this year. Both have a gate , one was hung on the wrong way . The gate fell over because the post was only about 100 mm deep.
The other one the two gates no longer line up as they have sagged. A total stuff up.
I had another company repair the first example as M & M told me the post fell out due to the ground being to hard. With out even looking at it and after a couple of months ( Easter ) I was over the excuses. I still have the photos to prove the poor workmanship . They never bothered to try to fix the issues."

"I have used M and M a few times. This time was not so good. They took ages to turn up and then promptly cut through a water main and then rung me up to tell me I needed to get a plumber to fix it ASAP. Not something I want to deal with as well the tenants problems. The water meter cover was clearly visable. More care should have been taken. Beware of the clause on the quote "digging at owner's risk". Cross this out as otherwise you will pay for their mistakes. When I said I was going to take it off their invoice they promptly threatened debt collection, saying that the cost of the plumber would be nothing compared to the debt collection. I won't use them again. There are other companies that charge the same per meter."

"M & M put up a fence around a spa pool. The size of the trellis was not what was agreed. The workmanship was dreadful. Quality of timber used for uprights was rough. The wood split where the catch was attached. All communication was via text as no calls were returned. When told of complaints they refused to talk and just took the fence away. Wouldn\'t recommend M & M."

"We have used M&M whenever any rental property purchase meant replacement fencing was necessary, or for new fencing as we added to properties. They have done all our fencing work since 2001, though I had seen their work daily since 1980s on Fletcher Residential building sites. They have always impressed me with superior workmanship and stunning value... I priced up to do my first fence myself and it was going to cost me $65 per metre to buy the materials. M and M (DUE TO BULK BUYING POWER I GUESS) did the entire job for me at $55 per metre, INCLUDING THE LABOUR TO DO THE JOB!!! They are sometimes a few days later doing the job than they schedule to be, but when it counts and they know it is critical, they are there with bells on. I cant recommend them highly enough, wouldnt even think of going anywhere else. Best regards, Lincoln Cobham"
