"There are so many reasons why not to visit these guys.

1st - They're just rude. Mostly if not all the time.

2nd - They don't deliver to their promises. Especially deadlines.

3rd - They charge overcharge you once they know that you don't know much about cars or you're an immigrant here and don't know your rights.

4th - Even after spending thousands of dollars on your vehicle they still wouldn't be sure that your vehicle will not have the same fault again. Why? Because again they want money."

"I brought by Subaru into Matipo Garage after it failed a WOF. This was my first time at the garage after a friend recommended them. The problem was that my brakes in the front were not engaging properly, resulting in uneven braking which is why VTNZ had failed the car. Everyone at Matio was really nice and they took the car the next day. They told me that they took apart the brakes, including the ones that passed the WOF and the put it back together. I was annoyed that I was paying for the labour for the brakes that were fine and paid $250 for the job (including an additional repair that was needed). I paid the bill and then went to VTNZ and failed the WOF again. I called Matipo and again the person I spoke with was very nice. I was told that I should have been told the car could fail the WOF. They offered to take it back again and to charge more to look at the car again. I decided to cut my losses and took it to another garage than to waste more money. I spent another few hundred at the next garage where they explained that Subaru wagons can be finicky and you really need to work the parts that engage the brakes if they get stuck. The cost at the next garage included new pads and calipers. The car pass the WOF no problem after that. So, taking it to Matipo was a complete waste of my time. They were very nice, but wasted my money."
