100%"It was a good choice waiting for Raoul from McIntosh Moorman to complete my full house repaint. I originally enquired with him a year prior based on the positive feedback I had heard and gave him a call, and although his schedule was too full, he spent 10 minutes giving me tips & advice regarding all things painting after the completion of my renovation - I could tell he was passionate about getting a good job done on my property, even though he himself was too busy. I postponed the job for… 12 months and enquired with him again and he was able to fit my job into his schedule.
One thing I appreciate when working with a builder or painter is one who has opinions and thoughts on the process and doesn't just take instructions. It was great to be able to discuss colours and what would look good, and the finish of the paint around the windows (matte vs glossier etc). Raouls wife is even a bit of a whizz on such decisions and Raoul was able to ask her 2cents when we were a bit unsure.
The process was as simple as can be. Raoul organised the full house wash, a full scaffolding wrap, and a builder to repair areas of rot that he had identified. It was great being able to tap into his own network of trusted tradesmen so I didn't need to waste time researching and booking scaffolding etc.
Raoul and Steve were great to have around our property for the 3 - 4 weeks the job took. Friendly, courteous, and accommodating to working around our schedule a few times since half the property is tenanted (and often worked night shifts). Raouls friendly and obedient small dog was a hit with my son who would ask every night if "the painting mans dog" will be visiting in the morning!
The paint job is impeccable. It is a 1912 weatherboard house that needed a bit of TLC, and now it looks amazing. People have already been saying how good of a job has been done, and it's only been completed for a few weeks!

100%"This is the second home that Raoul has painted for us having completed our previous home around three years ago. This was a big job. We have an old 1890s villa which needed to be brought up to speed both inside and out after a decade of minimal upkeep.
Raoul did an absolutely brilliant job of keeping us informed throughout with regards to timing, cost and opportunities to consider alternative ways of achieving a great result. He is always looking for opportunities to save cost, which I don't… need to point out is rare these days, and throughout the course of the work he was able to do so several times. When a very small number of problems surfaced he was quick to find cost effective solutions which maintained the integrity of the building and the job.
We now have a home that we are incredibly proud of after Raoul, Toby, and occasionally Tash (who also brought some spot on colour recommendations), worked their magic on the property.
