"Climbing backwards through a window on to a roof (3 story's high above a glass platform), Nick was on his stomach facing down the roof to a guttering joint, where he quickly found the split in the metal casing that was leaking, dripping drops down to the living room. He fixed the leak and climbed back out through the window and down two flights to the ground - no ladder, no scaffolding, no delay - and we now live happily and leak-free ever after. A professional, customer-focused, and quality repair and very economic....."

"We got Mclaren roofing out to fix a leak in my Grandmother's internal guttering recently. Nick was very efficient and professional to deal with, he explained exactly what the issue was and how he was going to fix it. "I highly recommend Nick and his team. After 45+ years the internal guttering between this and the adjoining property had rusted through. No-one knew what could be causing leaks to both properties, except that it had to be a roof issue. Nick came out to take a look – it took him little time to find the problem, he took photos, explained clearly and succinctly what the problem was and then told us the solution and what that entailed. He sent a Quote which set out the scope of the work and the cost (which was fair and reasonable). So, to sum it all up, Nick was true to his word and the job went without a hitch. The work was done in a timely fashion, the roofers were nothing short of fantastic – professional, efficient, hardworking, easy to deal with, approachable, answered any queries I had, showed me explanatory photos at certain stages and, to finish off, tidied up afterwards and took the debris away. Who could ask for more? Terrific!"

"Nick and his team, Jamie and Ken, did a first-class job of replacing the old rusted corrugated iron roof on my house and adjacent sleepout in Glendowie with a new Colorsteel Endura roof and ceiling insulation. They also arranged for the bespoke manufacture of a new chimney flue. I felt comfortable knowing that Nick is a hands-on roofer doing his own quotes. The job went smoothly and I was always kept “in the loop”. The job was a big deal for me. I am very happy with the outcome as well as the honest and consciencious way it was handled."

"Nick was great to work with. Honest and up front about everything. Quote was what he said it would be. Needed some extra stuff done and Nick adjusted quote quickly. Started job and due to staff shortage was a short delay in finishing. However, building was weather tight after first day so no issue on the delay to finish. Work was done to a high standard and happy for him to do more work for me in the future or my family and friends."

"Having worked with a few roofers over the years I can say Nick and his team were by far the best experience I've had. Up front without haggling from us Nick tried to honor a very old lapsed quote - there was an increase for materials but it probably could well have been more.

Communication was great and even when Nick lost 1/3 of his team to Covid just days before our start day we were only delayed by one day and entire roof with new insulation completed in three days.

Our house was tenanted during the reroof and our tenant made point of saying what a good experience it was for them as well - she said Nick and his team were respectful and were as unobtrusive as a re-roof can be.

Would recommend Mclaren to anyone wanting a roof done in the Auckland area and they'd def be my own first point of call."

"Nick and his crew did an amazing job with our 1906 villa which was in need of a whole new roof and guttering. He came the day after I called, gave us a great quote and worked around level 4 lock down starting the job as soon as able. He also coordinated our scaffolding and a builder for some repairs we needed. He is both friendly and professional and our new roof looks beautiful and would recommend Nick to anyone."

"Nick and his team juggled COVID, supply issues, Christmas demands and dodgey weather, all during our reroof. It all turned out awesome for us and the boys managed to do our reroof in 3 days with an amazing effort, but even if it didn’t work out I definitely knew Nick was giving it his all and keeping me in the loop with what was going on.
Can’t say enough about Nick and the boys and their hard mahi under the hot baking sun. Awesome job and absolutely recommend them!"

"Nick made contact the day that I placed my previous posting. He arrived at our house a short time later and climbed up on the roof where he applied a sealant to what he considered might have been the problem areas.
That was last week.
Since then, we have had some serious showers and the roof does not appear to have leaked at all.
We will therefore be quite happy for my previous to be removed.
