Move by Design was born out of a 50+ year history in the moving industry which started at Harrods, London in the 1970s.
Added to that experience, countless personal moves for Move By Design's owner, Clare, a career in project management and a stint as a home organising consultant.
Today our team is made up of a group of ladies spanning numerous previous careers including art gallery and 5-star hotel management, midwifery, media, project management, relationship management and real estate.
In addition, we work with the best in class service providers who are tried and tested by us to deliver the very best 360 moving service to our clients.

3 months agoClare and her Move By Design team made a task which seemed impossible amazingly easy for us. The lovely ladies were very professional and great to have around. It was so special to have our bed made and our cupboards organized. Highly recommended Clare and her team.

2 months agoClare and her team are the best! Move By Design stepped in to help unpack and organise my home at a time when I physically couldn’t do it myself due to a fractured ankle during the move, and took all the stress out of the experience.
Clare and Ange were so practical and efficient. What I appreciated most was that they didn’t just tidy but set up systems that are so easy to maintain. I also appreciated how they perfectly balanced being consultative and decisive. I could not recommend them enough. -
5 months agoOur recent move with MBD went exceptionally well. We found Clare and her team to be meticulous and very efficient. They arrived on time and had great organisation of their different packing roles. We particularly liked the personal approach Clare had to assessing the move and quoting the work. All-in -all we can recommend Clare to anyone wanting a stress-free move.

3 months agoWe were very impressed with the efficient way our household items were packed and delivered. The team was extremely organised and knew exactly what they were doing. It took the load off our shoulders and made the move straight forward and stress free. I highly recommend Clare and her team.

2 months agoWe were not looking forward to the shift after 20 years in our apartment. None of the furniture fitted the new place so the downsizing move was complicated with belongings going to our new place, belongings going to two different charities, books to somewhere else. Then the girls arrived! The Move by Design team were well prepared and superbly organised, there had been good communication before the shift so planning was great. On the 2 day shift the atmosphere was great, the girls worked hard and efficiently with a happy outlook. Everything went where it was meant to go and we were set up in the new place, even the bed was made! Can't fault the service! 11 out of 10!
