Shane started work on it when he said he would, he submitted the application to Auckland Council for building approval, and got it through in just three weeks following submission. He was also helpful with advice during the build process. Shane's communication, quality, price and service were all excellent.

After getting quotes from various builders who hummed and ha'ed over the need for a consent, Shane turned up and quickly identified from our concept drawings that a consent was needed and why. In the initial site visit he walked us through the potential extra costs that council may impose, and offered a professional opinion on whether those cost would be likely to be… realised for the scope of work.
Once contracted for the work, Shane conducted a prompt and professional site measure, and then turned around the final concept drawings quickly for our approval.
Detailed drawings and lodgement of the consent were completed within the timeline he had estimated, and the quality of his work pre-consent meant only minor questions were asked by council with no rework needed - consent approved in less than 3 weeks. Whenever we asked for an update he promptly replied with an accurate picture for us.

Hi, my name is Shane and I am a qualified Architectural Draughtsman servicing Auckland's North Shore and surrounding areas.
I Specialise in As-Built Drawings and Small Residential Building Consents, and am a Preferred Choice by Architects, Engineers, Builders and other Specialists, to produce High Quality Drawings. I pride myself in my professionalism, and my attention to detail ensures that my work is thorough.
Typical Projects that I Complete for Residential Building Consents are; Bathroom/Ensuite Additions, adding or changing Windows & Doors, Loadbearing Wall Removals and other Internal Re-configurations, New Decks, Minor Dwellings, Sleepouts and Garages.
What we do
I can handle every part of the process, including interaction with engineers and other external specialists when required, and all communication with council, which takes the stress off you.
I will firstly do some research into your property, discuss what you are planning on doing, and then I can provide you with a Competitive Quote. The next step is for me to Measure Up your house and draw the "As Built". Once this is completed, I will then work with you to come up with the best Concept that works for your needs. Once you are happy with the Concept, I will complete the Building Consent Drawings and take care of all other required Documentation. At this point the Building Consent can then be lodged and I will continue to deal with council until your Building Consent is approved.
So whether you are adding an ensuite into an existing house, building a deck or building a new garage on your property, I have the skills to get the job done for you professionally and efficiently.
