"Plumber arrived at 7:00am. It would seem that the drinking water filter system had failed - the unit itself was fractured around the base (probably as old as the house (25 years)). New unit & new filter installed. But (there's always a but) the new unit has different diameter… fittings, so some rather creative pipe-work and modifications have been necessary.
Excellent result!
Always use these people for good work. Had me try out the repair made before leaving.

"This company did some work for my business which is located at my residential address. They cut a hole in my driveway and at the end of the day just pushed dirt into it. I then got an email saying I had to pay extra to get the hole filled back up.
I expressed dis-satisfaction that I was not told about this before the hole was created at which I was told the problem would be rectified at no additional cost.
Some employees came… and did the work and then I got sent an invoice including the cost of fixing the hole.
I was told I had to pay this even though I had a written email from this company saying I didn’t. I expressed my concern about this via email and was told I had to pay.
I ended up taking this company to the disputes tribunal over this. Which Peter Jackson Plumbing Limited never showed up for - and the tribunal decided via this process that I was NOT liable to pay for the re-concreting.
I have numerous un-replied emails from this company and was shown a lack of respect when they didn’t even bother showing up to the disputes tribunal. And to add on to this I even have a voice message left on my phone & received an hour before the tribunal hearing time – recommending that I don’t go.
My experience managing this disagreement is BY FAR some of the worse customer service I have ever had in my life!
Very grateful for the NZ ministry of justice in this one and their ability to settle disagreements & in this case decide my "side of the story" made me not liable for the payments #knowyourights!
I felt my experience with this company was unfair and unreasonable.
Also, for anyone reading this - both sides of the story were heard at the tribunal as Peter Jackson plumbing limited had sent through theirs via email - even they they didn't show up.
Additionally I also recommend if you are in a similar situation to me to get everything in writing! I.e. in this case email
As mentioned i have emails that haven't been replied to sent to Peter Jackson plumbing limited [even though they reply super quick in here]. And they were very persistent in wanting me to discuss matters on the phone.
However if you have disagreements, it's my experience that getting everything in writing is invaluable (& arguably needed) when disagreements need intervention from a moderator I.e in this case a judge at a disputes tribunal.
Excellent work. Timely and very professional. Where I don't have skilled knowledge, I rely on people to be honest and to tell me in a straightforward way what is happening and what needs to be done to fix it; along… with options if there are any. Shout out also to to Soren for her organising and communication.
Peter Jackson Plumbing and the team have never let me down. I would recommend them for skill, work ethic, dependability and communication.
THey were clear in your communication around when the plumber would be there and then Peter, who attended site yesterday was bang on time and ready with the brief information I had provided. His workmanship was excellent and he’s a bloody nice guy as well.
I expressed to him my thanks for his work and the fact Peter Jackson plumbing did what they said they'd do –… it’s a really simple thing to treat your customers as well as they have already but we didn’t have this experience with other companies we had reached out to. I am really impressed and excited to continue using and referring Peter Jackson plumbing.
"I trust their advice, particularly Peter's. They arrive on time, confirm what they are going to do before they do it, and do a great job. On the rare occasion that things don't go to plan (that's just how life is), they are quick to respond and put it right.
Soren was the project… manager for my latest work. She kept me informed both before and during the job, and followed up afterwards to make sure everything went OK. I recommend her highly.
They are not the cheapest plumbers on the Coast, but in my experience there is value in engaging a professional company who know what they are doing, and do the best job.
The materials I thought was good value for money, however there are also other hidden costs (as we were not told when we got the quote) such as a \'vehicle/ administration charge\' (i\'m not sure if this is standard practice) and I did not know that we were to be charged for our quote (my… ignorance) in saying so, the plumber only climbed up a ladder and took a look which was about 10 mins. Also the amount of time taken for the job seemed to be rounded to the nearest hour (once again, i\'m not sure if this is standard practice) - the job took 30 mins I assume 15 mins travel time.
Overall I am happy with the quality of the job and I would recommend to those with a big budget and want a job done well.
I also advise future customers to clearly identify the costs involved with a job.
