98%"When we needed a new kitchen tap, we contacted Plumbing 24/7, Manu arrived promptly and while here identified that a hidden leak in the wall was causing our flooring in 3 rooms to rot (under the lino where we hadn't seen it). We urgently needed old plumbing replaced and new flooring in the rooms. Manu and Mark were very helpful in providing information to our insurance company and addressing the immediate issues while still leaving us able to live in our house. They made it a priority to fit in… a lot of work before Christmas at short notice. Manu was always ready to answer our questions and suggest a solution. It was great that he was able to do building work as well as plumbing. 95%"I rang Plumbing 24/7 mid afternoon and Mark said he would be here at 8 am the next morning. Mark arrived on time and Geoff followed shortly after, the leaking pipe that I wanted to be replaced was actioned very soon after.
The job proceeded and was quickly completed to a high standard and my plumbing problem was resolved. The site was left clean and tidy on conpletion.
And a nice touch, Mark called to see that the work had been completed and to a high standard.
I would… recommend anyone with new plumbing work or you have a plumbing problem to use Plumbing 24/7. Good work on site, my special thanks to Geoff for attention and efforts to fix my problem.

I want to give them 100% because they did a good job and comms were great BUT I have to be honest and say a week went by with the job in a state where the emergency had passed, but more work needed doing, and when I called, I heard "I clean forgot". Things were really busy all over Wellington that week, and this happens to everyone and I have to emphasize that other than… this, I was really blown away by the constant communication, and the tackling of a difficult and frustrating job at a price I consider fair. Also just admitting you forgot instead of making excuses is a sign of someone worth working with.

95%"What initially impressed me about Mark was that during our initial conversation about the issues we were having he suggested potential causes and an avenue to pursue that did not involve him. I think many plumbers would have been happy to come out and get paid to assess the problem even if it was something beyond the property that was causing the issue. As it turned out, the problem was within the piping on our property so I called him back to take a look (or listen) to the problem. Mark had… a job the following day so was able to come out an investigate afterwards. He came up with a strong contender for the possible cause of the issue and the following day Geoff and Sam showed up with the necessary replacement part. Mark's assessment was correct and the new part fixed the problem.
Overall, I was impressed with the friendliness and good level of communication from Mark, his partner and the other members of the team as well as the excellent response time for getting the job done. All three of the guys that visited our house were also happy to respect our no shoe in house policy, which was nice.

55%"I will not be using this business again for the simple reason that their charges are excessive and the area was left dirty after the job was completed. I now need to take a yard broom and the hose to clean off the dark muddy stain that was left on the path near my front door - not an easy task for me now. What was also disappointing is that there was a $40 transport charge to cover the distance between their last job in Thornden and my property in Khandallah - a ten minute drive. In addition… my blocked downpipe took less than half an hour to clear but I was charged for a full hour for two employees $85 and $65 respectively. There was a further $45 charge for the use of a so called sani snake, a hose that was used to check that the downpipe was clear. Nice blokes who did the work so even more disappointing they didn't clean up after themselves. A total of $243.22 is excessive for a thirty minute job. My doctor this morning with all her years of study, knowledge and expertise charged me $45 for a 20 minute consultation. Something is seriously wrong here."Ernie responded:"Firstly, We were very disappointed to have received a message from an unhappy customer, as we take our customer service very seriously and always do our utmost best to satisfy. I apologize for the staff members to have neglected the clean up after the job, as they are normally quite conscientious about this task, as attested to in quite a few of our reviews. Perhaps all the overtime they had to put in over this last weekend with the storm had something to do with it. Regarding the pricing of the job. NZ Work & Safety mandates that there must be 2 people at all times when using a ladder. I informed Mrs Brown of this but told her she would be getting a discounted rate for the 2nd guy. The $45 transport cost is industry standard and covers a myriad of things, not just the distance traveled. As far as her doctor charging $45 for a 20 min. consultation...To the best of my knowledge, this is government subsidized and you are coming to them, rather them coming to you as a house call. The use of the sani snake was warranted to satisfactorily complete the job. 100%"Mark and his team (Manu and Jeff) came within a few hours to deal with our blocked toilet last September. They got it going again but quickly discovered an imminently collapsing clay drain under our house, which had to be replaced. They did this work promptly and efficiently in early October. When our drains blocked again in February of this year, they traced the fault to the main sewer in the street and Mark went into battle for us with Wellington City Council. The Council finally took… responsibility and repaired the cracked main at the end of April. Throughout the whole saga, Mark, Manu and Jeff were unfailingly cheerful and polite. Two guys came the first day and saw the job to be done. The following day they returned, dug holes then one disappeared - I'm guessing to get supplies.
Almost $1000 (7 hours on the invoice) of my $1500 bill was for labour. By my reckoning, two guys on site for about 30 minutes the first day then around… three hours the next. A good amount of this time was one guy waiting around while the other was off site.

The holes they dug were small and easily done in minutes. If they'd done this part of the job that first day, then I believe they could quite possibly have returned the following day with the supplies they needed to complete the work more promptly, and and perhaps saved me a few hundred dollars!

He had to check with his crew before he could give an idea of how long they would be so he said he would ring back in a couple of minutes to give us an ETA. He did and said they would be an hour. A two-man crew turned up within the hour but on further inspection they… had to return to base to get a drill as a tree root had grown through a clay pipe causing a major blockage. They did a great job left the place clean and tidy and were very careful about ensuring that the amount of holes in walls was kept to the minimum. They did a complete hot and cold water reticulation replacement as we had dux quest piping through out our house.
Since the new system has been put in we have had no issues have been able to upgrade shower heads etc and no further concerns regarding leaks. All in… all it was a great job completed on time and within budget was great that there were no extra costs at the end.

95%"We had 2 issues - a blocked sewer drain (which required specialist machinery) and a dripping tap that was beyond fixing with a new washer. I found 24/7 Plumbers via this website (good recommendations already) and an appointment made (all online), Mark turned up at the agreed time. Both problems sorted and although plumbing is never cheap Mark worked quickly and efficiently and explained process and I felt their rates are fair for the plumbing trade.
All problems sorted quickly and good… advice given which as it was over Xmas I\'m delighted with!. Also very tidy and polite.

100%"We used plumbing 24/7 on a sunday afternoon , the rate for after hours work was high (as to be expected) although we rung around and most other after hours plumbers didnt even answer thier phones and the ones that did were of a similar price or higher. In the end we went with plumbing 24/7 and were greatful we did as this drain had caused problems before . After clearing the drain and cleaning up the plumber suggested we get the drain CCTV\'D as he could feel problems in the drain with the… drain machine he was using . On the following Tuesday we were contacted by mark in the office and reminded that the drains were as old as the house and that a CCTV would be a good idea if we wanted to determin the extent of the faults with the drain . he explained that although the drain was clear at the moment it could block again mark said they were happy to come back and clear the drain again for no cost if it blocked again in 30days from date of first clearing and that it was up to us if we wanted to get the CCTV After some thought we called them back into sort out the CCTV which they did .The inspection showed that there was a funny section of the drain that the drain machine was getting caught on and with the CCTV they located a inspection just after this funny section which they dug down too so they could run there drain machine thru ...heaps of tree roots at different points they used there tree root cutting equipment and sorted the problem out its been 2 yrs since they did the job , and the drain is still running fine although i guess after posting this and 2 summers of thristy trees that those damn roots are proberly back by now .. oh well... at least we have been forewarned giving us time to save up to have the drains replaced . we will difintly get them to quote the drains .
