I hope we haven't moved too far out of their area now as I wouldn't want anyone else! They took care of the place, kept floors and carpets well covered, cleaned up, went the extra mile with helping move stuff, re-doing a colour etc. Always really nice guys to have in the house. 100%"Found Scope Painting from NoCowboys. We were looking for someone to paint the entire interior of a rental property. This involved painting pretty poor condition front and back doors, wooden skirting boards and door frames, wooden doors, and dark walls. I have to say Dave and his crew exceeded our expectations. We have previously used two other painting companies to do similar jobs at other rental properties, and the quality of Scope Painting's work is far superior, and they were timely… finishing when they said they would. Their price was slightly higher but well worth the difference in my view. Dave was excellent to communicate with, had good recommendations, and there were no issues in coming back to do touch ups/remedial work (even when it was damaged through no fault of theirs, such as damage done by the floor sander and kitchen installers). This made a huge difference in my satisfaction as it removed any hassle around not having a perfect paint job. 100%"Thanks to the woeful paint job delivered in our new Signature home, we had to get Signature Homes to have the interior and exterior repainted within 2 years!
The company they selected this time was Scope Painting and we could not have had a better team of painters to finally do the job the way it should have been done in the firs place.
Dave's team took a lot of trouble to mask our carpet, cover our furnishings and ensure that new paint only went where it should do. They were careful,… competent, courteous and nothing was too much trouble for them. They sanded and painted until our house finally looked as it should have done when we moved in 2 years ago. They also had a copy of the NZ Master Painters report to Signature Homes, stating what all the defective work comprised and how to remedy it.
Between NZ Master Painters and Scope Painting we finally got the result we had paid Signature Homes for.

Upon our acceptance of his quote, work commenced within a couple of days. No mucking around by Keiran and Dakota, they got straight to work at 7.30am each day. Scope Painting, led by director Dave Bell, is an award winning boutique painting & decorating company serving Tamaki Makaurau with an emphasis on providing our clients with a premium level of service & workmanship with one goal in mind – transforming your house into a beautiful home.
We treat your house as if it was our own & from your initial consultation through to your final sign-off you will feel at ease through what can often be a daunting process.
We are proud members of the Resene Eco Decorator programme, an initiative by Resene Paints to recognise, endorse & recognise painting contractors who consistently achieve high quality outcomes. In 2022 we topped the auditing nationwide with a 100% score which was based on Professionalism, Quality Control, Health & Safety & the consideration we give to minimising our footprint on the natural environment.
In 2023 we were category winners at the Master Painter Awards of Excellence for Contemporary Exterior as well as Gold Winners for Character Interior Rework. This followed up on our initial entries in 2022 where we won one Gold and two Silver awards, giving recognition to our staff’s amazing efforts.
