"We engaged Donna from Seed Landscapes to create a landscape design for our property in Glendowie. Donna's service was impeccable throughout the entire project . Always organised, attentive, reliable and of course extremely knowledgable. She was also able to assist with sourcing the plants which was helpful.
We couldn't have been more delighed with the outcome - the end result was several different, but equally stunning, garden areas that beautifully completed the entry way and outdoor… living. In fact it was so stunning that when we eventually sold the property, we had people coming to the open homes and saying they 'were just there to see the landscaping in real life!"

"We first engaged with Donna early in 2012 when we wanted to transform our dark, overgrown and uninspiring back garden and deck area.
We are not gardeners and we wanted something simple, elegant and easy to maintain. Donna's design exceeded all our expectations and the transformation was more than we could have hoped for.
Now, 6 years on after enjoying our lovely deck, patio and garden area, we are renovating and extending our house which means we have to redesign the deck and garden.

"Donna helped us to see a bold vision for our garden and see opportunities beyond what we initially imagined. We didn't use our dated shady (and mouldy) courtyard and thought of small changes that might make a difference. Donna pointed out to us that this wouldn't resolve the look and feel of the space along with the lack of flow and we would be back to square one in a short time. Throwing good money away. We hadn't thought of the rest of the garden being part of the planning, it was more or… less a left over space for weeds. She has a lovely warm manner and is incredibly 'in tune' with what people want for their gardens, but what sets her apart is that she is also the ultimate professional. Her attention to detail is faultless, her in-depth knowledge of not just plants, flowers and trees, but also soil is exceptional. She turned our 'blasted heath/scorched earth' into a paradise. My mother had some very specific requests including no hedges and no lawns, so she… gave us some flowering screens, and a no-mow area, she gave us a veggie patch, a herb garden, and then the most amazing trees and pots. She was patient with the changes and communicated well with other parties (eg. builder). She also put in a lot of effort to ensure we were clear on the plant choices and layout. She is an excellent communicator, and went the extra mile by discussing issues directly with the council and the builders to ensure her plans would offer what was needed.

She has turned the existing non-descript front entrance way into a pretty courtyard area that will be well used this coming summer. She had great knowledge of plants and provided photos which helped me understand her vision. I liked her suggestions for plants that will provide screening from the neighbours without encroaching too much on the usable lawn area that I wanted to maximise for the dogs. "We continue to be amazed at how we are now so attracted to and utilize so often a part of our property that previously was completely unavailable to us. We love the new perspective across the pool, leaping in from the deck is also enjoyed by some - we have a chiminea and old kauri table and it is a delight to see our sons and their girlfriends enjoying our new garden under the stars.

Donna has proven herself very capable over taking a brief from someone with no landscaping knowledge and turning this into a well conceived plan, that often exceed what I had envisaged. "From Donnas very first visit, we found her to be easy to understand and full of great vision and expertise knowledge of planting, lighting and a total feel for what a family desire from their space. Her knowledge of the plants and lighting effects have transformed the day to evening feel with the mere flick of a switch.
We love every aspect of the back, side and front of our home. It has become a haven for everything from kids birthday parties , social barbeque\'s and afternoon reading… by the pool. The planting has grown beyond our expectations and as the layers become more obvious as the months pass, we truly have a piece of the tropics in our very own Grey Lynn.

I would recommend Seed Landscapes without any hesitation and truly stand amazed at the transformation of our much treasured home."

My expectation of timings and service were high, but Donna and her team managed the project and process extremely well. 1yr on from the redesign and the planting that was recommended and implemented have worked fabulously.
