    "We had Smart Energy solutions install underfloor insulation. All was well until they actually installed it. Large holes in the insulation and the garden was left in a state with insulation, craft knife blades and staples left lying around everywhere. Apparently this was good enough for their inspector to sign it off. Would definitely not recommend."

    "Very disappointing insulation install....in the quote process, no issues were identified with installing underfloor insulation but just on a year later, I'm having to have it all removed and replaced to treat a borer problem that would have extremely evident on initial assessment. This company doesn't follow NZS 4246 in the slightest and issues certificates of compliance when they have ignored the NZ standards for installing insulation.
    Have raised the issue with the company and their… response was oh that's bad luck and that man no longer works in the company...absolutely no ownership for costing me thousands and no efforts made to redress.

    Also, at the time of the install, the power to half the house was knocked out and took them a couple of days to come back and fix it so all the power-points in the bedrooms would work.

    These guys are only interested in issuing invoices and getting paid, absolutely no ownership on performing sound work and doing the right thing by their customers. Was even more important in my case as I wasn't living in the same city as the house that required the insulation. No confidence in this company and I don't recommend you engage them.    "
