Drain Unblocking in Titahi Bay

"This is the second time we have engaged Superdrains to diagnose and flush out a blocked sewer drain at one of my properties.

Malcom is friendly, knowledgable and has a pragmatic approach while explaining the process of repairs and provided suggestions on work we could complete in future to ensure any issues could be dealt easily on our boundary ie re routing the storm water drain which goes through the neighboring property.

He and his worker Israel turned up the same morning i called them and both prompty got into the messy job of excavating and locating the cause of the overflowing sewerage.

This was found to be an issue of the neighbours construction of a retaining wall post which subsequently damaged two pipes, he went and spoke and explained to the neighbours the cause of this which meant they were happy to accept liability and pay the invoice for damage caused.

The work was done quickly and at a resonable price considering the difficulty and nature of works (raw sewerage)

Malcom was more than happy to answer any questions i had following the work to clarify some details. ill definitely be keeping his number for future if required and would reccomend him his worker Izzy and Superdrains Limited!"

"I accidentally rang Superdrains for a leaking pipe into my cylinder. He asked where I lived..Whangamata...that's a bit far from Wellington for a call out. Meanwhile I had to drop a friend off and he rang back. I will help talk you through turning off valves and etc. OK when I get home. By the time I arrived home he rang again to say he had rang around for a plumber and here's his number. Wow what service from so far away. The plumber arrived 10 minutes later and shut down the squirting water from a pinhole leak. I can't thank this gentleman enough. Hopefully one day I can buy him lunch in Whangamata...wonderful service"

"This job began as an issue with the waste/sewage pipe. Malcolm arrived with all the gear (incld a camera able to travel inside the pipes) to investigate the problem. Turned out roots had got into the pipe somewhere and were causing a major blockage, Some roots could be removed but that was a temp fix. To find the entry point required digging down ... and down! Ended up going all the way down 2M to the council main drain. Malcolm and Israel (his impressive co-worker) just dug and dug (made easier by ingenious use of machinery). Ended up getting the roots out, repairing the damaged pipe, replacing metres of my pipe, putting in new inspection points, filling in the hole with ALL the earth going back into it (compacted while doing so) and grass seed sown over the now level ground (nice touch). Professional, friendly, on time, good communication and a price I thought was reasonable for all the sheer hard, dirty work involved. Recommended!!"

"Mal from SuperDrains is our hero. He came to check out a shower that wasn't draining. It had always been slow draining but was now completely blocked. He used his camera to find the problem - a cap left on a PVC pipe when the shower had been installed. It had obviously been shoved to one side after the install but eventually made its way back over the opening and completely blocked the pipe. It seemed like there was no option but to remove the vanity and toilet, and bust up the concrete floor to get to the section of pipe - an extremely and disruptive job! Mal decided before going to that great length he would have a go at reaching the cap - and smash at it with a sharp chisel. Long story short he was able to break up the cap and extract it - the shower was fixed! And for a few hundred $$ rather than the several thousand we would likely have been facing if we had to rip out the ensuite and floor and reinstate after. A top bloke who did a great job, and we'd highly recommend for any drain problems."
