    "Windows inside and out were cleaned to perfection. Hadn't been done for two years. The name is 'sparkleguys' and my windows certainly looked every bit of sparkling after they had finished. Not only the windows but also they wiped the sills all the aluminium plus wooden framing around the windows and the stacker doors fastidiously cleaned. We have a huge amount of glass so it was no mean task. Very impressed we have used them before and have never been disappointed same applies this year. Well… done Chris and I can't spell you colleagues name. We're still in awe of looking out the windows in every room and blown away how clean and sparkly they look. Thanks a million"

I actually thought they were not that dirty but they must have been because it is amazing how brilliant clean they are now. Chris prides himself for doing a few extras and I can wholeheartedly second that. Now not only the windows are clean but inside the groove of the frame as well. Another amazing thing is that he puts everything back where it belongs after moving it for the clean. The guys are courteous and lovely… to talk to. I will definitely put their services on the regular house maintenance to do list."

    "At first Chris was polite when he visited our home to look at the work we required and wrote a few figures down on a piece of card which seemed reasonable for what we needed doing.
    He washed the roof and left patches of uncleaned areas. He did come back to do those area two days later,BUT he left debri all around the concrete driveway, black silt etc and didnt even think to clean that down as in his words he was coming back in a few days to clean the windows. We took photos of the terrible… mess and my sick husband cleaned up that aweful mess himself. It was holidays and Chris knew we have three special needs children.and that they would run through the house with all the dirt he just left around the house. But it did not occur to him to clean as he told us later.

    He and his co worker did come back three days later to wash the house and clean the outside windows. When I returned home I contacted Chris to mention we had some issues and the windows were not done very well at all and lots of rain like marks left everywhere. He was very rude to me and I was shocked at the apparently friendly mans attitude. The bricks on our home needed to have an acid wash as whatever he used on the bricks had left aweful mortar discolouration in patches all around our beautiful home. Chris was so argumentatitve I just said please give me the invoice and I will pay straight away. This is about workmanship not money as he was trying to infer.

    So.... we have recleaned all the downstairs windows outside to a much higher standard than the Sparkle guy, we have acid washed the bricks at our own expense. We are so very thankful that we had not contracted him to clean all the inside windows. He would just keep saying to me that "I have not said one nice thing about their work" well ......... we tried to talk with him over some issues and he lost the plot and became very rude and very un business like. We could have put the $1800. 00 paid for the substandard work to much better use. If a good job had been done we naturally would be singing his praises. I cannot recommend this company sadly and remain disappointed.    "

    "Hello Ouch It is personally upsetting to me when people respond in an adverse way such as this, on the quite rare occasion that we have a complaint i make a point of getting back to the house mostly the same day, with my ratings i always respond quickly. This is a barrage of complaints, i received an email in the evening and was threatened with them getting a brick specialist to look at the job i arrived at 9.am the next day when the brick guy was there, he was not able to say a single fault with how we had cleaned the house and the end result, there is a white salt that comes out of the brick it is a normal phenomenon and even if it washed off would likely come back the brick guy confirmed this . This house was built by the owner 11 years ago and he has always maintained it himself it is his baby as it were, he then complained to the brick guy about the mortar it was confirmed by the brick guy as mortar which the owner admitted happened as he built the house we would not even try to get this off it is not part of a house wash and we were not asked to remove it. In the email Colleen said i said that we would not use a chemical to clean the house that simply is not true as last year i turned down two jobs due to this idea we cannot achieve the desired result without chemical there are serious reasons to use a chemical. We are specialists in inside and outside window cleaning and because they clean the inside themselves they are in very bad condition Terry showed me what he uses and it simply does not work from a professional point of view, as i attempt to try to explain how things work and how we get such a good result Terry got very annoyed, there is a problem with some of there outside glass having a stain it is hard to say what it is except that it would be a lack of maintenance i think Terry took this as an excuse or argument and told me to leave and they would pay the bill which they have. From my point of view i'm sorry that we did not get to chat as i was quite interested in the people not children that were at the house it is not true that i new a load of kids were coming as we never had a chance to talk about anything, While the brick guy was there a young lady waved at us from the window i think they are a form of down syndrome very loving and sweet she then came out and introduced herself and shook our hands really lovely, some of us in my business do have a genuine interest in people and i would have appreciated a chat and to know more of what they are doing there, in turn i could have complimented Colleen and Terry, at the very least i can appreciate the hard work that is involved in there endeavour. The house looked great when we had finished and the very small area seen from there high windows over the lower roof that got missed about half a sq meter was easily rectified when i was finished with the 3 lower roofs i was black from head to toe Terry saw me as i left as i said goodbye and thanked me for washing his ute and motor home off as roof filth had splattered on them I apologize for the screed, it is simply not fair after such hard work to have people not be clear about the truth.     "Used them late last year and will never use them again.
    The windows were rinsed not washed and were still dirty even after the second time they came back. Smear marks everywhere.
    I could not tell if the house had been washed after the house wash.
    Finally 4 months down the track after their apparent No Bug Spray on the house. There are more spiders than before. I will be getting another specialised service to spray the house now.
    Then there was the astronimical price. Well over priced for… the service.

    Also Chris's attitude after I questioned the job was completely unprofessional. He blew his top.

    "This is a very disappointing comment from Ewan, it is correct that i had to be firm because his house was made of a type of stone marble in places, the angle of the sun had bleached it a different color and he was insisting that it was not clean, it was simply faded by sun, not fair Ewan. We checked and double checked your windows three of us and they were fine when we left and you agreed. As for the spider treatment it is a warranted product and i stand by it, if you read this simply call me and i will re do it no problem, there would be no reason for more spiders, the product does not invite them onto the house it kills them. We are very careful to complete the jobs we do to the best we can and always check that the client is happy as we did with Ewan he then paid the bill."

They arrived on time and were very professional, explained everything they were doing and did an amazing job.     "This was an extremely unsatisfactory experience. Chris arrived without an appointment. He had cleaned my widows the previous week and it was agreed he could do the roof at a later date. He asked if he could proceed even if I was not home. I agreed. I was home when he arrived and had painters painting the outside of the house on an hourly rate. My car was parked in the drive. He did not ring my doorbell but stopped the painters from doing their work without my permission and sprayed the… roof while they stood around waiting for him to finish. He left his equipment lying on the front pathway which left a stain on the path which has not disappeared. He did not ask me to move my car and he messed his chemicals all over my car.

    He also messed his chemicals over my pot plants and some of the plants died. I think he was rude and he is also not the cheapest. I will never use them again.    "

    "I am very surprised at this rating which happened only when i sent a final statement several weeks later. I had such a lovely chat with Ruth and was very sympathetic to her situation that she was explaining, it was house cleaning that we did for her, she was delighted and paid the next day or so, it was raining so had to go back for the Moss and Mold treatment for her roof as it require a dry couple of hours, her painters were glad to move out of the way for only 10 minutes of that part of the house so as not to get it on themselves all was happy, we did leave quickly as we were finished and had to move on our time can be limited, the car was washed off by us i mentioned this to Ruth. This is not how we behave and disturbs me, if i feel i am wrong hands up I'd admit it and put it right, sorry we had this problem Ruth. Chris "

    "We asked Chris to complete an external housewash, window wash and waterblast the deck. The house was in an average condition due to the previous owners completing little to no maintenance, however we understood this and considered that with a good chemwash it would at least be clean (in fact the deck came up great). Chris completed the job after our initial instructions and left, on inspection of the job there was still a considerable amount of residue dirt on the house and windows (to the… point we could run our hands along the cladding and leave finger trails), instances where dirt from the ground near the foundations had been sprayed on to the house with residue overspray and the windows were still in an average condition.

    We phoned Chris and asked him to return to remedy these issues, which he agreed to and part resolved although not to a standard we were happy with.

    Chris's explanation for all of the above was to blame it on the condition of the house not to consider that the workmanship may have been sub-par.

    Further when questioned about all of the above he was considerably rude and disrespectful implying that we didn't know what we were talking about and that he had done his job well. Maybe our property was just in the too hard basket and the service provided wasn't up to the task.

    We won't be using your services again    "

    "The workmanship was not sub-par, however there was some back spray from the deck that we missed, i returned immediately and put it right also tried to make the overall job better but not with much effect as Sam says there house was stained all over not much one can do just needs a paint job, there expectation was very high certain stains will not come off but can be painted over. It's always a pity when this happens as we work very hard on our jobs. I could have averted this bad review by agreeing to the discount Sam wanted, however the price was agreed and the work was completed to my satisfaction particularly when we returned to put right our small oversight the next day!!. We are very determined to have very very high standards of workmanship and it is not good when clients respond in an extreme way like Sam's response simply out of ......... Please consider my ratings below this to determine our quality. Thanks Chris"

    "I hired The Sparkle Guys to give my house a blitz inside and out before I put it on the market - external house wash, windows and interior clean. The exterior clean was done to a good standard. After the first pass - the windows were still very dirty - they were slightly cleaner than before but it appeared the dirt had been moved around rather than removed. I called Chris, he agreed to come back and redo the windows. The following day I returned and noticed no difference. I called Chris to… enquire why he hadn't come but apparently he had returned and redone the windows yet they were no cleaner than before. At this point I also explained to Chris that, on the interior cleaning front, apart from the floors it wasn't obvious to me what else had been cleaned. Benches, shelves, cooktop, bathroom vanity, shower - none of these appeared to have been cleaned. He agreed to come back and asked that I meet him there to show him exactly what the problems were. I did so and he agreed that the standard of work wasn't acceptable. He agreed to redo both the windows and the interior cleaning. After three attempts, the windows were just okay certainly not sparkling. The interior cleaning was below standard also. I requested a 10% discount on the invoice in light of the problems. Chris offered 25% off the cleaning aspect only ($30 total on a $800 job). I thought this was insufficient as a) I had to redo the entire cleaning myself except for the floors to get to the standard I wanted. b) I had to redo some of the windows, those most prominent and still obviously dirty. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I could have done the job myself in the time wasted and to a higher standard. I notice that The Sparkle Guys have otherwise very good ratings so was surprised and disappointed at the substandard work as my experience with well rated companies on this site has been otherwise excellent."

    "As Paul said to me initially the house wash was great which included a separate complicated car port and all fences, all the windows were fine apart from some at the back side and rear which due to severe leakage did cause me problems these old style villas can have some very wobbly frames and leak awfully. The area where Paul is correct was the domestic cleaning we did not do well enough my new girl didn't get it quite right however i take full responsibility, i came back to Paul's house the same day as i take a complaint very seriously but it required a second visit to gain entry, i met Paul there and had it sorted in an hour personally myself, Paul then paid the bill, we have very very few complaints per year but of course it can happen my reaction is to deal with it quickly and politely, i achieved that so i am a little disappointed concerning the screed that Paul has chosen to write, i can only say that on the rare occasion we don't get it quite right I'll be back extremely quickly.     "While Chris turned up to the job at our Auckland rental as and when he said he would, we were less than happy with the job done. We asked Chris to clean the outside of the windows. Apart from spraying water at the windows and using a broom to clean the window surrounds nothing else was done. No cleaning agent was used, nor wiper blade even used to remove excess water. Leaving water on the windows like this can lead to limescale problems. We were gob-smacked to think that a professional window… cleaning company would think a hose-down equated to window cleaning. $85 (ex GST if paid in hard cash) was taken for a job that took 2 people half an hour max. (I pay my Hawke's Bay window cleaner $70 for 4 times as many windows, many of which are colonial-style i.e. labour intensive. Each pane is cleansed and dried by hand to a high standard.) It is a joke that this company appears on www.nocowboys.co.nz; they are absolute cowboys."

    "This is an odd rating well awful, i have no record of this client either in my diary and my quote book, just to let viewers know i am in contact with NC concerning this rating as i take them very seriously and have sent NC attachments of my diary 2 days either side of the rating but also one month before i have no record either nor in my cash book which is just a total balance book of all transactions, naturally i hope they can shed light on it. I notice Vicky does not comment on if the windows were left clean regardless of what she describes our methods to be. It is important for clients to know that we use DI water tanks fed to the brush with 0000 pure water from a carbon fibre extension pole reaching 3 stories high plus some So quite an investment in my modest. business, with pure water there are no TDS spots left behind and no lime deposits pure water acts like a magnet to attract dirt so the glass would never have been so clean, i trust this comment will help you decide that The sparkle Guys is a very worthy business to have complete this type of work in all respects. We engaged Chris and his team based on their No Cowboys feedback and I have to say they did an excellent job. We have a large house with a huge glass area and they cleaned inside and out, including slider tracks and window seals. Fantastic job done quickly and efficiently. They turned up on time and were very professional. My only negative comment is that there was some minor water spotting when… they finished however, in my humble opinion, it is nigh impossible to clean windows without some spotting and I defy anyone to say otherwise. This did not detract from the fantastic job they did and I only mention it to give a balanced review.     "The Sparkle Guys have been to my property before and rang me again this year to see if i wanted the windows done again. I asked for a price which was quoted. I later rang them back to confirm the booking and once again agreed verbally a price for all windows.

    On arrival I was advised that the job was under-priced and it would cost another $75 to complete the whole house (an increase of 23% from the original quote).

    I found myself in a very awkward position and ended up agreeing to them… only doing 3hrs work. This meant that the whole upper area of our house was not cleaned.

    After discussing this with my husband, although we have no complaints about the workmanship, we feel that this is not a very professional approach and puts the homeowner in a difficult situation. If a price is agreed verbally it should be honoured and a new price agreed for future visits.    "

    Chris responded:
    "In fact the price agreed was confirmed as the price of 18 months since the last time, however i actually could not remember the house and as we arrived realized which one it was, a very large house and really impractical to do at that price, we agreed on three hours for the money and $75.00 extra would have done all of it and accounted for the 18 month lapse, in fact i completed two whole floors in 3 and 1/2 hours not wanting to leave a floor partly done and the 3rd floor was not large. not ideal however i feel we were very professional as always and very conscientious, it is better to correct things before one starts the work and not after, i feel the time lapse of 18 months is what makes this lady\'s comments very unrealistic."

    "Chris did a great job cleaning our windows inside and out.He even managed to bring the glass shower door back to life by get the cloudy marks off it .My wife and I would highly recommend Chris and his helper to any one that needs thier windows cleaned. "
