100%"Windows inside and out were cleaned to perfection. Hadn't been done for two years. The name is 'sparkleguys' and my windows certainly looked every bit of sparkling after they had finished. Not only the windows but also they wiped the sills all the aluminium plus wooden framing around the windows and the stacker doors fastidiously cleaned. We have a huge amount of glass so it was no mean task. Very impressed we have used them before and have never been disappointed same applies this year. Well… done Chris and I can't spell you colleagues name. We're still in awe of looking out the windows in every room and blown away how clean and sparkly they look. I actually thought they were not that dirty but they must have been because it is amazing how brilliant clean they are now. Chris prides himself for doing a few extras and I can wholeheartedly second that. Now not only the windows are clean but inside the groove of the frame as well. 25%"At first Chris was polite when he visited our home to look at the work we required and wrote a few figures down on a piece of card which seemed reasonable for what we needed doing.
He washed the roof and left patches of uncleaned areas. He did come back to do those area two days later,BUT he left debri all around the concrete driveway, black silt etc and didnt even think to clean that down as in his words he was coming back in a few days to clean the windows. We took photos of the terrible… mess and my sick husband cleaned up that aweful mess himself. It was holidays and Chris knew we have three special needs children.and that they would run through the house with all the dirt he just left around the house. But it did not occur to him to clean as he told us later.
He and his co worker did come back three days later to wash the house and clean the outside windows. When I returned home I contacted Chris to mention we had some issues and the windows were not done very well at all and lots of rain like marks left everywhere. He was very rude to me and I was shocked at the apparently friendly mans attitude. The bricks on our home needed to have an acid wash as whatever he used on the bricks had left aweful mortar discolouration in patches all around our beautiful home. Chris was so argumentatitve I just said please give me the invoice and I will pay straight away. This is about workmanship not money as he was trying to infer.
So.... we have recleaned all the downstairs windows outside to a much higher standard than the Sparkle guy, we have acid washed the bricks at our own expense. We are so very thankful that we had not contracted him to clean all the inside windows. He would just keep saying to me that "I have not said one nice thing about their work" well ......... we tried to talk with him over some issues and he lost the plot and became very rude and very un business like. We could have put the $1800. 00 paid for the substandard work to much better use. If a good job had been done we naturally would be singing his praises. I cannot recommend this company sadly and remain disappointed."Chris Morgan responded:"Hello Ouch It is personally upsetting to me when people respond in an adverse way such as this, on the quite rare occasion that we have a complaint i make a point of getting back to the house mostly the same day, with my ratings i always respond quickly. This is a barrage of complaints, i received an email in the evening and was threatened with them getting a brick specialist to look at the job i arrived at 9.am the next day when the brick guy was there, he was not able to say a single fault with how we had cleaned the house and the end result, there is a white salt that comes out of the brick it is a normal phenomenon and even if it washed off would likely come back the brick guy confirmed this . This house was built by the owner 11 years ago and he has always maintained it himself it is his baby as it were, he then complained to the brick guy about the mortar it was confirmed by the brick guy as mortar which the owner admitted happened as he built the house we would not even try to get this off it is not part of a house wash and we were not asked to remove it. In the email Colleen said i said that we would not use a chemical to clean the house that simply is not true as last year i turned down two jobs due to this idea we cannot achieve the desired result without chemical there are serious reasons to use a chemical. We are specialists in inside and outside window cleaning and because they clean the inside themselves they are in very bad condition Terry showed me what he uses and it simply does not work from a professional point of view, as i attempt to try to explain how things work and how we get such a good result Terry got very annoyed, there is a problem with some of there outside glass having a stain it is hard to say what it is except that it would be a lack of maintenance i think Terry took this as an excuse or argument and told me to leave and they would pay the bill which they have. From my point of view i'm sorry that we did not get to chat as i was quite interested in the people not children that were at the house it is not true that i new a load of kids were coming as we never had a chance to talk about anything, While the brick guy was there a young lady waved at us from the window i think they are a form of down syndrome very loving and sweet she then came out and introduced herself and shook our hands really lovely, some of us in my business do have a genuine interest in people and i would have appreciated a chat and to know more of what they are doing there, in turn i could have complimented Colleen and Terry, at the very least i can appreciate the hard work that is involved in there endeavour. The house looked great when we had finished and the very small area seen from there high windows over the lower roof that got missed about half a sq meter was easily rectified when i was finished with the 3 lower roofs i was black from head to toe Terry saw me as i left as i said goodbye and thanked me for washing his ute and motor home off as roof filth had splattered on them I apologize for the screed, it is simply not fair after such hard work to have people not be clear about the truth. 45%"We asked Chris to complete an external housewash, window wash and waterblast the deck. The house was in an average condition due to the previous owners completing little to no maintenance, however we understood this and considered that with a good chemwash it would at least be clean (in fact the deck came up great). Chris completed the job after our initial instructions and left, on inspection of the job there was still a considerable amount of residue dirt on the house and windows (to the… point we could run our hands along the cladding and leave finger trails), instances where dirt from the ground near the foundations had been sprayed on to the house with residue overspray and the windows were still in an average condition.
We phoned Chris and asked him to return to remedy these issues, which he agreed to and part resolved although not to a standard we were happy with.
Chris's explanation for all of the above was to blame it on the condition of the house not to consider that the workmanship may have been sub-par.
Further when questioned about all of the above he was considerably rude and disrespectful implying that we didn't know what we were talking about and that he had done his job well. Maybe our property was just in the too hard basket and the service provided wasn't up to the task.
We won't be using your services again"Chris responded:"The workmanship was not sub-par, however there was some back spray from the deck that we missed, i returned immediately and put it right also tried to make the overall job better but not with much effect as Sam says there house was stained all over not much one can do just needs a paint job, there expectation was very high certain stains will not come off but can be painted over. It's always a pity when this happens as we work very hard on our jobs. I could have averted this bad review by agreeing to the discount Sam wanted, however the price was agreed and the work was completed to my satisfaction particularly when we returned to put right our small oversight the next day!!. We are very determined to have very very high standards of workmanship and it is not good when clients respond in an extreme way like Sam's response simply out of ......... 55%"I hired The Sparkle Guys to give my house a blitz inside and out before I put it on the market - external house wash, windows and interior clean. The exterior clean was done to a good standard. After the first pass - the windows were still very dirty - they were slightly cleaner than before but it appeared the dirt had been moved around rather than removed. I called Chris, he agreed to come back and redo the windows. The following day I returned and noticed no difference. I called Chris to… enquire why he hadn't come but apparently he had returned and redone the windows yet they were no cleaner than before. At this point I also explained to Chris that, on the interior cleaning front, apart from the floors it wasn't obvious to me what else had been cleaned. Benches, shelves, cooktop, bathroom vanity, shower - none of these appeared to have been cleaned. He agreed to come back and asked that I meet him there to show him exactly what the problems were. I did so and he agreed that the standard of work wasn't acceptable. He agreed to redo both the windows and the interior cleaning. After three attempts, the windows were just okay certainly not sparkling. The interior cleaning was below standard also. I requested a 10% discount on the invoice in light of the problems. Chris offered 25% off the cleaning aspect only ($30 total on a $800 job). I thought this was insufficient as a) I had to redo the entire cleaning myself except for the floors to get to the standard I wanted. b) I had to redo some of the windows, those most prominent and still obviously dirty. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I could have done the job myself in the time wasted and to a higher standard. I notice that The Sparkle Guys have otherwise very good ratings so was surprised and disappointed at the substandard work as my experience with well rated companies on this site has been otherwise excellent."Morgan responded:"As Paul said to me initially the house wash was great which included a separate complicated car port and all fences, all the windows were fine apart from some at the back side and rear which due to severe leakage did cause me problems these old style villas can have some very wobbly frames and leak awfully. We were gob-smacked to think that a professional window… cleaning company would think a hose-down equated to window cleaning. $85 (ex GST if paid in hard cash) was taken for a job that took 2 people half an hour max. (I pay my Hawke's Bay window cleaner $70 for 4 times as many windows, many of which are colonial-style i.e. labour intensive. Each pane is cleansed and dried by hand to a high standard.) 85%"The Sparkle Guys have been to my property before and rang me again this year to see if i wanted the windows done again. I asked for a price which was quoted. I later rang them back to confirm the booking and once again agreed verbally a price for all windows.
On arrival I was advised that the job was under-priced and it would cost another $75 to complete the whole house (an increase of 23% from the original quote).
I found myself in a very awkward position and ended up agreeing to them… only doing 3hrs work. This meant that the whole upper area of our house was not cleaned.

After discussing this with my husband, although we have no complaints about the workmanship, we feel that this is not a very professional approach and puts the homeowner in a difficult situation. What we do
WE SPECIALIZE IN SOFT HOUSE WASH. and all other water blasting of surfaces and ROOFS paths, drives, and decks We care about your property and take care not to damage your home using cleaners that are friendly for your plants and animals.
For roof cleaning we use a special machine with our technique that prevents water ingress into the roof a common problem that occurs when no membrane has been laid under the tiles.
MOSS AND MOULD treatments for all surfaces and Roofs excellent at killing Lichen whilst it cleans the roof lasting several months working with the rain to keep your property free of moulds, dealing with Algae, Lichen and Black Spot, quite often a better solution to water blasting on roofs as the spraying can be completed without walking on the roof.
WINDOW CLEANING both outside only or inside and outside for a perfect finish every time guaranteed, this includes the internal edges of all the windows and doors this is very necessary for us to maintain our quality and reputation.
SHOWER GLASS RESTORATION, is a real problem, we have the answer a system that makes the glass shine perfectly as you would expect from The Sparkle Guys this system requires four products and a lot of elbow grease for a squeaky clean shine, Also great on balcony glass and poolside glass.
SPIDERS AND THERE COBWEBS We have the answer and we stand by our product with a one year guarantee, mostly used on the outside of the house but can be applied successfully inside as well , you and your pets are not required to vacate the house and it works very well for cockroaches also.
The internal edges of your windows and doors can be sprayed while we are cleaning the windows since the spiders love to get in the drain ducts of the window this has proved to be very successful and popular, and of course prevents the spiders crossing over into the house.
Our clients love that we are a one stop shop for all th above services which most often we can complete in a day and saves them having to locate different companies.
We also very often let ourselves in and secure the premise when we leave, we take care with pets to ensure there safe and sound when the client gets home.
It is always great when our clients syncronise with a blind cleaner to take away the blinds before we arrive to window clean as this allows us to really reach the top of the window and frame to clean it properly.
