"Great customer service from Craig and Craig. Provided us with a couple of options to double glaze the last bedroom in the house. Competitive pricing, professional job. Very honest and trustworthy guys. They had ordered the wrong glass for our job (standard instead of laminate) and didn't realise their mistake until after installing. We would never have known but they called to explain and provided a couple of options. We chose to have the laminate installed which was no issue - they were… quick to reschedule and install. "I contacted a handful of businesses about getting double glazing retrofitted into my 1930s duplex and was very glad I chose Thermawood. Craig and Craig gave clear and informed advice, and most importantly for me, they came to do the initial inspection and quote, and they were the ones who actually did the work - it's frustrating to have a sales person give you one piece of information, and an installer something totally opposite - but that wasn't the case here. Throughout the process, the… communication was great, the work was done conscientiously, and I'm very happy with the result. The price was reasonable, and Craig didn't try to oversell me something that I didn't actually need; his advice was invaluable. I'm very grateful for their help, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone."

"Craig and Craig from Thermawood retro-fitted our 1940s timber windows for double glazing, and it’s completely got rid of any condensation and the rooms are much warmer. The window frames are now reshaped to close perfectly so there’s no drafts going in or out between the cracks. Highly recommend these guys. They work hard and do a very professional job, and are always happy to change anything as you get the windows installed. "

"We have just had new timber double glazing installed by Thermawood. Double glazing is a big investment so we contacted a few different companies and arranged a few quotes. Craig and Craig from Thermawood came to quote and informed us on the various options available to double glaze our windows – they have worked in this industry for some time and were knowledgeable on all the various systems and products so we decided to go with Thermawood . We live in an older building and our timber… windows did require a bit of work so decided to get new replacements rather than retrofit our current windows. Once we confirmed what type of double glazing we wanted the new windows were ordered and being installed within the month. The guys at Thermawood were hard working, trustworthy and cleaned up at the end of each day.

The new windows have made a huge difference sound proofing the busy road we live on (we hardly hear a thing now) and we no longer get loads of condensation on the windows which was one of the main reasons we wanted to install the double glazing. If you are looking to double glaze we recommend you contact Thermawood.

What we do
Thermawood Auckland retrofit double glazing into existing timber joinery. We come to your home and carry out the conversion, removing the windows from your frames and refitting them with double glazing within the same day.

The single glass is removed and a small amount of the frame, we then drop in a fully sealed double glazed unit followed by seals and beads to hold the glass in place. It is the patented dry retrofit design that makes Thermawood window conversions, the industry leader.

The end result is a better performing insulated window with little or no change in the aesthetic look of the window.
