"Paul is a craftsman and a hard worker. He uplifted and relaid dangerous, gappy, uneven pavers to to create a safe, level path - essential for someone with a broken femur.
Paul demonstrated attention to detail and a high level of workmanship. He expertly cut and relaid pavers to ensure the path was gap-free, non slip and carefully graded.
I am very happy with the result and the path is a pleasure to walk on."

"Paul made our fireplace dreams come to life!
We needed a stonemason to lay CraftStone stones on our fireplace we were having replaced - We had no idea what we were doing or what we needed to bring our vision to life and Paul walked us through the whole process and made it very easy.
He liaised with the Fireplace installers to ensure things would be set up to the required standard for the stone - organized all the materials and used his knowledge and experience to bring my specific stonewall idea to life (I wanted a mixture of different specific stones, and wanted it to be natural and undulated, mostly avoiding continuous lines etc so it felt very organic) - Despite my unusual request Paul absolutely nailed it and it turned out better than I had envisioned.
Very friendly and hardworking, kept me up to date with how things were going and everything was on time.
Will get Paul back for more! 10/10 recommend."

"Paul was engaged to create a stonewall to the entrance of a subdivision. He provided his professional opinion and varying options with associated costs so the client could clearly see the value of the different options.

The communication through this process was the biggest thing. Paul’s communication was clear and early which allowed us to work along side him causing no delays .

The work was of high quality and no shortcuts were taken and the cost was lower than other local stone masons. I would recommend Paul as a stone mason to anyone"

"Recently I contacted Paul to build a stone wall along the edge of my driveway.(This was the second wall he has built for me) I was very happy with the quality of the work and the overall experience. Paul managed to fit my job in sooner than I expected and he and Lester arrived on the appointed day and completed the work within the timeframe . They were also able to repair a small brick wall so I didnt have to find another tradesperson. Pauls communication skills are great and the price was very reasonable. Paul was also able to give me some advice on how to go about the repair of other retaining walls at the property which I will engage him to undertake later in the year."

"Paul provided an excellent service in smartening up our front porch area & steps leading to it. Thw whole area has been ground down & leveled out. Although the side concrete walls still need painting, the difference is amazing. Paul also widened our driveway & put in a small wall / grass verge. We are thrilled with the outcome. I had approached Paul with a piece of rock from one of our companies quarries which needed to be turned into a farewell gift, cut down to size, mounted on a stand and then a plaque inserted into a space he had made into the rock. Had Paul in to lay 20 metres of Waitaha Schist for us in a crazy paving pattern.

1. Turned up on time, every time! Sometimes earlier, unheard of with other tradies I have dealt with.
2. Worked hard and fast, in the rain, in the sun, it didn't matter,
3. Both Paul and his co-worker are nice friendly people.
4. Paul has an awesome dog, if you're lucky his dog will be on site with him and you can get some pats, bonus!
5. Finished job was as quoted and the end result looks awesome, very happy with the result."

"Paul is a very good communicator, turned up when agreed and is a pleasure to deal with. He's a great craftsman and he and his offsider Lester did a lovely job of a stone wall across the bottom of a garden with concrete top and a mowing strip, plus an extra concrete slab. The garden was transformed from a messy, weedy edge with rocks piled around the place to a really nice bed, and Paul was pretty good with the plants, even those on the edge. We were happy enough to immediately engage him to do a much bigger wall."

"I had a challenging job - to build a rear boundary fence that was split between two neighbours, with one part having volcanic rock wall with mortar on the boundary, and another just heaps of loose volcanic rock. Plus neighbours were being difficult. I had a number of builders and fencing guys come before Paul to quote and none of them knew how to deal with the rock, so I couldn't get anywhere with them. I started looking for the stonemasons and met Paul. Paul was very professional and knowledgeable. When he found out that I'll have to manage the job and co-ordinate between a stonemason and fence builder, he offered to manage this for me and introduced me to a landscaper who could build the fence at the same time Paul builds one rock wall and repairs the other one. Finally I felt I am getting somewhere and awarded the job to Paul. And I was not mistaken. Paul and his guys turned up when they said they would, did the job to the highest standard and final price was as quoted. What more would you want? He was so awesome, that I will use him for all other stone work at my property. I highly recommend Paul and his team to everyone."

"The work I engaged Paul for was to erect five schist stone fence pillars, erect the metal sections between the pillars and to erect a further schist stone pillar adjacent to the front door of the house.
