    "After a lot of research we chose a hydronic underfloor heating system as being the most suitable for our needs. I contact a number of suppliers and a local family run business (Lifestyle Heating / Waitoki Engineering) gave good value and were able to explain the system they would design and supply to provide both underfloor heating and domestic hot water heating. Julie and Steve were initially very good at communicating and we felt confident that we had made a good choice in working with them.… However, after the initial installation of the underfloor pipe it became apparent they had very little idea of the final solution. For example, they were unable to supply the plumber and electrician on site with specifications or diagrams of what was required and where, and were even unable to provide the dimensions of the heat pump used to run the system to a concrete slab could be poured.

    In the end they walked away from the job leaving a non-working system and a very unhappy customer. We have now had to pull a brand new house apart to retrofit pipework, thermostats and electrics due to their lack of planning and understanding. I have also had to engage a separate company to come and finish the installation as it isn’t working at a significant cost to me.

    Despite Julie agreeing to refund some of the money I had paid to Lifestyle heating / Waitoki Engineering, she wrote back a few days later revoking this offer and now will not communicate with me at all.

    I’m afraid that Julie and Steve have little business management capability and even less customer communication skills. I hope that anyone looking to go down the underfloor heating route see this review and look elsewhere as you will only be left disappointed with a very expensive heat pump that doesn’t do its job.    "
