    "Matt and his team started renovations on our 1920/60s house in April 2014 and completed it in December 2015 within 3 phases. The project involved completely gutting the house in sections, retrofitting windows, and adding a massive deck. Matt's connections meant we had an architect we could work with easily, and he was prepared to work alongside some independent trades organised by me - he was also more than happy to let me do as much as I could to help with demo. His team are personable and… highly skilled, delivering a quality product - they also put some massive hours in to hit deadlines at key stages. Matt communicated effectively and ensured we were involved in decisions, at the same time explaining what impact this would have on time and budget. We now have a character house that is completely new, and finished to a high quality. Matt was particularly effective at providing me with the right information when a certain Hutt-based window company made a number of manufacturing screw-ups - he advocated strongly for us. I have referred Matt and his team to my family and friends, who have all been very impressed. I'm looking forward to the next phase of our building project when we extend the house."

    "My ceiling plaster board was water damaged from a shower leak from the apartment unit above mine. Repair work with Space Construction was arranged through property manager from upstairs. The work was done on time and to reasonable standard. However when I asked if there's sign of water damage to the internal structure from his opinion as an experienced builder, and whether some written information can be provided on any safety issue, the contractor became inpatient and kept saying he doesn't… work for me, he was only doing the plasterboard so why should he provide written information. He was rude, difficult to communicate with and irresponsible. He is a builder and he was the person who's done the repair work, which included both internal structural inspection and plaster board installation. He kept saying that he's only asked to install the plaster board, but without proper inspection ensuring the safe condition of internal structure, it's pointless to install plaster board. He is a builder, he should know that. Doing a patch up job simply isn't good enough. He said he doesn't work for me, which in practical sense he does, because this is my property and the agent was just a middle person. Not a good experience this time, too bad mate!"
