    "Took our car into VTNZ Adelaide Rd for a WOF check. We were advised that the windscreen water pump needed to be fixed before we\'d get the WOF. Booked car into a local garage (had to take a morning off work to do so) and was told by the mechanic that the pump was just disconnected, and he could tell this in 30seconds by opening the bonnet. A waste of time and we were lucky not to be charged for the mechanic\'s time. I would have expected the VTNZ tester to be able to see this (I had no idea… what the pump looked like) and save us a completely uncessary trip to the mechanic."
