    "Nothing but praise for this company. It was a referral from another plumbing group who was very busy at that time. I have used Heron plumbing in the past so i knew they were as good as some of the other groups i have used. Adam from Heron called first to let me know he was on his way. Arrived as promised & fixed the leak that was causing the main issue. To be honest, he was very thorough making sure what he had replaced & what he explained what he had fixed was secure & presented no further problems in the future. Very Helpful & his workmanship was of a high standard. Highly recommend to everyone. Many thanks Adam."

    "Talked to Bianca?? in the office who was polite and helpful booked in our job but recommended us to contact my power company as I had not hot water - apparently the power can turn the power off to our hot water cyclindar (ripple control??) to save on a call our fee - she was right that was the problem. A mth later my daughter broke our toilet seat and I called heron plumbing again darren came round and fixed it - as they have a minimum call out of 1hr he then asked if there was anything else he could do while he was there - he tightened my taps - thanks guys"

    "We have recently moved to a block of units in Parnell and when we noticed a leak from the air conditioning unit Heron Plumbing were recommended by a member of the residents' committee as having worked on the roof of the building previously. Heron told me I would have to ensure it was a dry day before their plumber arrived as if it was wet when he got to us, he would not be able to go onto the roof but I would still be charged the call out fee of $115. I thought this was a bit steep but nevertheless accepted it. After a few false starts a dry day dawned and a very competent and pleasant young man came and did the job. I had no problems with his work whatsoever. I did have problems with the bill when it arrived this morning, however, because I had been charged $55.32 for the `hire' of a ladder. I would have thought a ladder to access the roof would have been considered tools of the trade and so I queried the charge with Andrea at the Heron office. She explained that a `high roof' necessitated them providing a long ladder for which they charged extra. However, the roof was not in my opinion high (second storey of the building) and it was on the truck anyway. After some discussion Andrea said she was prepared to `go halves with me' which was accommodating of her but I actually felt strongly that I should not have to pay at all. They had not advised me in advance that there was a special charge for the ladder (never in forty years of living in Auckland and hiring plumbers from time to time have I ever come across such a charge). I told Andrea that there were 42 units in this block and I would have liked to be able to recommend Heron's services to other residents but because of this charge felt disinclined to do so. After some discussion she issued me with a credit note and I have now paid the revised bill. I still have a bad taste in my mouth after this experience with Heron Plumbing which is a pity because their work seems good."

    "Heron Plumbing were easy to contact and actually completed the job (gas water heater service and cap-off of old gas heater) before they initially thought they could get someone round. The person on site was professional and friendly and I would use him again without hesitation. On this aspect, their service was excellent. However, I was invoiced for substantially more than I estimated (2.25 hrs, being standard 1 hr callout, plus 1.25 hrs). I didn\'t have an exact idea of the time it had taken but thought it was in the vicinity of 1- 1.5 hrs. I queried this with Heron and they agreed that the invoice was incorrect, apologised and re-did the invoice for 1.5 hrs of time. I suspect the actual amount was the 1.25 hrs that was shown on the invoice though, meaning I was probably still over-invoiced for .25hrs. I didn\'t bother querying this again as it seemed petty, but I wasn\'t left with the impression that the Heron office were genuinely sorry about the mistake, so I\'m unlikely to use Heron Plumbing again for my next water heater service. ( I would also advise other Heron customers to make sure they check their invoice properly.)"
