I didn't hear anything so tried to call but have not been able to speak to anyone, left 2 messages on their phone this week and have still not had any contact from them. Now I need to arrange another mover at very late notice! Has this company gone out of business?"

    "Great service from Chris and the two boys. Was able to fit me in at last minute notice. Reasonable rates with great knowledge of individual furniture requirements. They expertly dismantled our leather lounge suite which was my main worry. I had the house packed and had a move plan which they followed perfectly.     "Awesome crew and moving manager in Chris. Loved there systems, conscientiousness and sense of humour. We got the keys for our new place 4 hours later than expected and these guys took it in their stride working til 830pm! They knew exactly what to do in each situation. Very used to what they are doing. True professionals.     "Well, it was a very stressful day. They were supposed to come between 1-2pm and didn't show and after many many phone calls and Chris saying he couldn't do the job that day due to various reasons, they eventually came at 8pm. Once they were there they were super efficient and fast and very careful with our belongings! But it was pretty much a day wasted for us with sitting around and waiting..."

Half way through the shift, we realised that a change in plans was needed and we would have to temporally store some of our gear.     "The Movers moved us out of a property that was up 120 steps from the road. We booked 5 guys in 2 trucks. They were efficient, careful and every one of them was polite and courteous. Called me a month later to apologize, claiming a 'family situation ' prevented them from being able to do the job. Absolutely no explanation as to why they did not call me until a whole month after the scheduled move date. "

No forms or paperwork just a friendly helpful voice on the other end of the phone. The 3 guys who did our move were very professional but friendly and accommodating. From start to finish it only took them 3 hours. Amazing when we had so much gear. Really impressed with their approach to the job - even more impressed that not one thing was broken or damaged!     "Moving offices is never easy and we had multiple floors, a small tired lift and 18 years of accumulation. Our move was further complicated by having limited funds being a not-for-profit organisation. The Movers not only gave us a good price, they put all their trucks and movers on to shift us in a day. It was a long day but they did it. The Movers checked out both premises prior to quoting and maintained contact through the planning period. As our new premises were in a busy street they handled… all the tricky issues such as traffic planning and truck placement. We were impressed with their rates and organisational ability so used the website to book 3 men and a truck for a smaller move – it was all very easy to use and they arrived on time and finished early."

    Very careful, moved all the stuff to where we wanted in the house without just dumping it, put boxes down with labels facing out so we know whats in the boxes weeks later. Haven't noticed any damage to boxes/stuff yet. They delivered to a new build so we would notice any marks/scratches, don't' see any in the stairwell which we knew would be the hardest area not to scratch. Looks like one light mark on a wall but could easily be from anyone… of the trademen there in the few days before we moved in (they were working in that area). Important to get right sized truck so can do in one go but in Wgtn we have access issues. So we are VERY HAPPY! Highly recommended!    "

    "The Movers were highly recommended by Kennards Storage in Thorndon and they did not disappoint; from the first txt to say they were running a few minutes late to the final off-load to beat a fast-approaching rain storm these guys (3) were fast, efficient and very polite. They did all the heavy work, put aside boxes as requested and they moved at a speed I was pleasantly surprised at (I was paying by the hour). All in all happy to recommend The Movers team:-)"

    "I had a tricky request: moving a heavy piano from an inner-city apartment to my house, which is located up one hundred steps and through a narrow doorway. But this was no problem for The Movers. Prior contact was friendly and no-fuss, and I was kept up-to-date with the booking details via email and phone. Using the online form, I was able to book an actual time and date for the move in the same week.

    The movers were polite and efficient. They turned up half an hour earlier than booked. And… the whole experience couldn't have been smoother."

    "Great guys! Very friendly and easy going. I live in a house with really bad access but it was no worries for these guys. They did the job quick but still took care, even of each other - calling out to each other to make sure each person was okay. Only hiccup was that I'd changed the original booking time, but the moving guys weren't made aware of that. Luckily they called me that afternoon otherwise they would've turned up 2 hours early and the hotel staff would not have had the bed ready. "

    The boys did not waste any time so the job was done very quickly. One advise is please use a padding when between the furniture surface while moving as some of our table had scratches but that's all good.     "I was super impressed with TheMovers.co.nz . With very short notice of the move, they were positive, easy to deal with & very easy to deal with. They notified me of the names of the three guys that were coming, and on the morning George rang me to give me the heads up that they were 15 minutes away. They worked fast & responsively. On delivery they checked where everything should go & delivered it directly & quickly. Nothing seemed an issue. And when all was done I was so… surprised how quickly they had achieved everything, and therefore how cheap it was. I was expecting about double the actual price. Definitely HIGHLY reccommend, and will use these guys from now on."

    "The Movers helped my mum to move. It was quite a stressful and emotional time for her. She is a recently widowed lady in her 70's and had lived in the home she was leaving for over 40 years. The Movers were great! They kept us informed of when they would arrive. They were very respectful and caring towards my mum. They were extremely efficient and took great care of my mum's belongings.
    I would definitely recommend them and would use them again. Very competitive rates too!

    "The guys were fantastic. For such a grueling job (large hill with limited vehicle access) the boys didn't moan or react negatively in the slightest, were totally pleasant and cheerful. And considering it was job 3 that day i was especially impressed and appreciative. George the driver was great and the other two were just as pleasant. I was most impressed with their manners and politeness and having moved a lot, this was a slight rarity haha. Without a doubt the best moving company I've dealt… with in that regard and no complaints anywhere else. HIGHLY recommend. (And can't stress enough how great it was not to feel like we were putting them out with such a physically demanding hill)"

Chris was very professional, responsive and thorough in his advice and managing our move - from initial contact, to quote, to checking in prior, on the day, during and after the move. I really appreciated the personal touch, the care and attention he showed to our needs and coming around at the end to check everything met our expectations.

    His team were just really, really great - we had Andre, Mike and Den. They were friendly, polite and… professional. And they were super-efficient (and careful) at packing our things and shifting them. I really appreciated the checking in when they needed clarity and calling me immediately to report a mirror had been broken (even though it was broken by my son). Plus they stayed late to make sure all the beds were put together at our new house. A really nice touch!

    I would highly recommend this crew to anyone and I will definitely be using them again!    "

    "The crew that helped us from The Movers were nice guys and did a good job with our one bedroom house move across Wellington (Mt Victoria to Khandallah). Communication both relating to email requests and on the day were excellent.

    The Movers are also very good value for money when compared to comparable services around Wellington. Our property was handled well - no damage worth writing about in the move.

    A few minor items were left behind, and the move took slightly longer than originally… anticipated, but still proved good value."

    - when making enquiries to arrange the job they were responsive with emails and calls as appropriate
    - on the day they kept me up to date with their expected arrival time
    - work very hard, quickly and efficiently moving all the heavy stuff - v strong wiry types - perfect movers
    - took care with my things - used some special industrial strength looking glad wrap to protect cupboards fronts, had mattress covers on hand should I want to buy those, nothing was… dropped or broken, the truck they used had all the right protective blankets and straps to protect stuff in transit

    - all team members seemed very friendly and trustworthy (I ordered 3 men and the large truck)

    In short, I'd use these guys again.    "
