"DO NOT take your car for a WOF to this place. They fail you and quote for work that is not necessary or required to pass the WOF. I took my car there and was told $700 to repair to get the WOF - we replaced the parts as specified on the WOF sheet, returned to Tyre World and they still failed it saying they did not know that the work was completed . Then we took the car to another Registered WOF establishment who passed the car with flying colours, when we showed them the parts that were removed and replaced we were told there was nothing wrong with the original parts and they were not part of the standard requirement to pass the WOF in any case. They are Rip off Merchants advertising cheap WOF $20 to get business ... BEWARE!!! They are Rude and Nasty to talk to"

"AVOID THEM! Had an hour between appointments so went into nearby garage for WOF ($20). Modern car in excellent condition. Failed warrant as brake pads need replacing ($99 now or $149 if booked in later).
Did not believe mechanic as had pads replaced 4 months prior. Refused offer and was told it was unsafe to drive off without the work. Left immediately and went immediately to VTNZ and passed WOF with no work required.
Had to reschedule my appointment due to concerns re car .... all unfounded. AVOID these SCAMMER mechanics!!

"They really need to work hard in their communication to their clients if they\'d want to keep them happy. I had taken my vehicle here for a WoF inspection and was initially given the wrong information for which I was really frustrated. I was later contacted and advised that there was some miscommunication in providing information to me about my vehicle and the fixes it needed. A word of advise if you are considering taking your vehicle to them for any kind of service, ALWAYS double check and ensure that the information (advice and/or quotes) relayed to you is clear and correct. Take a moment to question what really needs fixing, don\'t get carried away with the busyness of that environment. If in doubt, do take your vehicle to some other mechanic for a second or even a third opinion (if required), which is what I did in my situation. In the end, they did apologize and compensate for the poor service I received."

"For twice in a row my new was failed for WOF. Both occassions headlight being too high. So technically ended up paying $40 on both occassions. This is a tactic they use to make money and $20 for WOF is just a gimmic to attract customers. Charged me $20 for light adjustment that only took 30 seconds. Would highly recommend to stay away from this sort of businesses. Never going back again."

"Stay away from these scamming mechanics, they will charge you triple the price and damage your engine to make you come back and spend more of you $$$$$$$ that a proper HONEST mechanic would never do!! yes they broke my engine and tried to scam me $2'000.00 to fix it, I took it for a second opinion to Midas and they only charged me far less .. you have been warned they are con artists!!!"

"12 month WOF for $10 - wow don't think I have ever had a wof for that price!! Great way to drum up business so thought some ++ comments on here were justified. Although they did note on the check sheet that they recommended full service and new break pads!! They are even MTA registered. Make a booking - was very busy when I turned up. Read Google reviews first.
