The coordinating of subcontractors went very well and if there were any problems (engineered stone bench top arrived out of line with plan) they were sent back to be replaced.

Nikita’s communication around who would do what and when was timely and the team responded quickly if we had questions. All the workers who came on site were extremely professional and all tidied up each day after they left.

I have a set date of completion that was not… negotiable. Mel organised her crew as well as other contractors to start the work as planned. They all arrive when they said they would......real professionals.

Before the installation of the cabinetry, they found an issue with the existing floor ties which we originally didnt want to replace. Mel was very quick in re-organising everything to accommodate additional tiling work without compromising my timeframe.

Everything was done marvelously according to plan. I'm so happy with my new kitchen, most especially the cabinetry. Thanks to Mel, Stu, Brady, Craig and the plumber for making it happen."

Our job was reasonably small- a scullery off a kitchen, but Mel was very helpful and offered great advice. The planning was stress-free and all the details taken care of. Our project was to replace an early 1990s U-shaped kitchen to better utilise the small space available and bring it into the 21st century.

We chose Wright Kitchens from a shortlist of 4 kitchen designers / installers. Our selection process was based on the following criteria:
a) the ability to listen and understand what our needs were.
b) the quality of ideas put forward to solve the specific issues we raised e.g. how… best to utilise corner spaces.

c) awareness of different product options and flexibility and willingness to work through design variations.

d) price and delivery timing.

Two of the shortlisted firms were close (2 way behind) but Wright Kitchens scored highest on each and every one of our criteria.

Having chosen Wright Kitchens we were not disappointed.

Mel worked with us to finalise the design, including a site visit with Stu to talk through the details. Through this process we recognised the depth of knowledge and experience that comes from a firm that not only designs, but also manufactures the kitchen cabinetry in house and installs the kitchens with their own team.

Ripping out and installing a new kitchen is not for the faint hearted – it is a major undertaking and is inevitably disruptive.

The Wright Kitchens on site team of installers were all professional and polite in their manner and clearly took pride in their work. They worked around other tradies (builder, electrician and plumber) without problem and simply got on with the work required while trying to minimise disruption to us.

With any major project a few problems can be expected (e.g. walls not being square or late response by stone benchtop supplier) but all were addressed calmly by Mel who kept us informed and the team maintained the momentum to get the kitchen completed as quickly as possible.

The end result exceeds all our expectations.

- The kitchen design is working for us and we would not change any aspect of it.

- The quality of the kitchen cabinetry and finish is excellent (our other tradies all commented on this).

- The overall price was as per the quote with no disputes.

We found the process of styling our kitchen with Stu and Mel a good experience. They are easy to deal with, they listen to what your requirements are, and invite you to view examples of products and processes in their factory so you can make your choices. Choosing finishes for the cabinetry, types of drawers/cupboards, even handles, can… be daunting to start with, but Stu was able to discuss at length and provide options. They also arrange visits to granite/caesarstone showrooms for benchtops/islands and accompany you there if required.

We had a strong concept from the start on what we wanted for our kitchen, and being able to work smoothly with Stu and Mel meant the end result is fabulous. What we really valued from Wright Kitchens was their absolute commitment to quality – they really take pride in their workmanship and it shows in the finished product. We have had numerous compliments on the kitchen."

Stu came over quick smart and listened to our requirements. He had some great ideas and we now have a beautiful… (beautiful!!) kitchen. Thanks too to Dale for his attention to detail and quality workmanship.  

I am beginning to think they may actually be vampires because I don't think Mel actually sleeps!!! She was always super responsive and uber helpful around any email or text I sent. We did have some issues around sourcing our benchtop but we got there in the end, and the top we have now is lovely.

Wright Kitchens build your kitchen in their factory - and we were able to visit the… factory in Upper Hutt to see it - and then they installed the vast majority of the kitchen within a day so you don't have to be without a kitchen for an extended period of time. They also organised the plumber and electrician and the whole process was so easy and stress free. Also, Stu Wright did a great job designing our kitchen. He had some great ideas - things we would have never thought of - and the kitchen just 'flows' so much better. Even though we have loads more storage in our kitchen everyone comments about how much bigger our kitchen looks now - which is all thanks to Stu's design. We also got the bench tops a couple of inches higher than standard for my tall husband at no extra cost.

However the best bit about Wright Kitchens is their amazing customer service. Mel and Stu Wright were a delight to deal with. I remember that at 8:45am on the morning of the installation I got a call from Mel. My first thought was that she was calling to tell me that they were postponing the installation. However she was calling to apologise because Stu and his team were running 15 minutes late. You really feel that Mel and Stu want to do the best possible job that they can.

We absolutely love our new kitchen and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending Wright Kitchens to anyone."
