    "On the recommendation of Dylan Gulley of Effective Electrics, I asked Frendz to quote on upgrading all the existing old wiring in my house so that none remained, so that it would then be safe and fully compliant, as well as installing some new power points. I accepted their quote of $3450 for the job. The certificate of compliance clearly states it is for the rewiring of 7 existing lights and 7 existing power points as well as the installation of the 6 new power points, and the installation of… RCD and circuit breakers in the sub board. In April this year, another electrician was installing a ventilation system and reported wiring in my ceiling which is both non compliant and dangerous and for which Frendz supplied a compliance certificate. There was new wiring which has been illegally connected to old wiring, and live wires left just taped off and live connections lying outside of the 'J' boxes, not to mention the absolute mess they left behind in the ceiling, which is negligent and most unprofessional.

    When I contacted Kumar, he refused to take responsibility, saying the certificate of compliance was only made for the power points,and that the old wiring was existing and was made redundant by someone else which may have worked previously. He also stated that cables used in the power point circuit was insulation resistance tested and all connection were made in the junction box. He said "We are not responsible for any old or new work which was done by some other party. If the work was sub standard we wouldn't have issued the compliance."

    Because I did not have a written record of what I requested, and the quote just states job as per customer request, it is basically his word against mine, and the inspector cannot prove it was his work. So I paid $3450 for the work he did, then I had to pay another electrician to make it safe and compliant because this company denied all responsibility.

    This is the worst experience I have ever had with a tradesman. Frendz Electrical Solutrions are dishonest, negligent and unprofessional and deserve to be de-registered for this shoddy work. But I can't prove it.

    I'm also disappointed that they were recommended to me by another tradesman I thought I could trust.    "
