    "We signed a contract with Kevin to build a house extension in September 2014. In March 2005 Kevin started another project and just abandoned out house left the job unfinished. Plumbing and stormwater disposal system were not completed. During the following months Kevin was promising every week to send the plumber to complete the job. After 2 month of delays and promises that plumber is coming 'next week' Kevin advised that I should find myself plumber and drainlayer to complete the job. Because I needed to plan my budget I asked Kevin to recalculate the job and finalize the contract.

    It took 3 months for Kevin to recalculate and prepare the final invoice. During this period every time I asked Kevin about the final invoice he promised to send it to me 'next week'. This 'next week' had been lasted for 3 months.

    To make things worse the rain season started and the brand new roof started to leak. Also final building inspection failed.

    At this point Kevin and I agreed that I will pay the final invoice only after:

    1. Kevin fix the roof (he confirmed that the roof leak and internal water damage was his responsibility)

    2. Kevin resolve building inspection issues.

    3. Kevin will provide a list of material spent with cost. I asked Kevin to provide the list because it took so long (4 month) for him to recalculate and after such a long period of waiting the amount obviously became questionable.

    I took another 3 months for Kevin to 'fix' the roof. During this period I had to climb of the roof during each rain and cover with a tarp to stop the leak. During one of the 'roof fix' visits Kevin broke the existing stormwater spouting and went home as nothing happened (although he promised to fix it 'next week', of course it never happened) Finally when the roof had been fixed, I pointed that putting a plastic patch exposed to direct sunlight is not a proper way to fix, Kevin assured me that he will replace the plastic patch with colored steel patch.

    In reality he did not bother to replace a plastic patch, he just put another one on the top of the plastic. Plastic patch is still exposed to the sunlight.

    At the end Kevin refused to fix the water damage and claimed that the water was leaking through the old part of the roof (although covered with tarp roof never leaked).

    Documents for the CCC were not prepared properly as well. Almost every document required was missed from the application and requested by Council. The only document they did not request was a certificate from drainlayer (I invited the drainlayer myself). It resulted in additional processing time.

    Finally Kevin threatened me with collectors and asked to pay the final invoice although he did not fix the water damage and did not provide a list of materials and money spent.

    To sum up:

    Will not recommend to anyone. Doesn't take any responsibility for his promises. Caused lots of delays to our project. I regret dealing with Kevin.

    "Quoted $3700, final price over $8000. Unreasonable when asked what the extra charges were for.

    Was told the job would take less than a week, builder was still there 4 weeks later.

    Told him enough was enough, not to do anymore work, he would not return the key.

    Had to pay to have locks changed, had to pay another builder to fix his work.

    Would not recommend, would not use ever again. Workmanship terrible & charged for things he didn't do & we had to have redone.

    Beware this cowboy!"

    "1. Estimate was provided based on discussions- this work was completed for less than this amount 2. additional work was requested by owner, agreed as extras, and charged accordingly 3. Raquel did not want to pay for the additional work in full, seems she felt it should\'ve been done for free! 4. delays were caused by Raquel arranging other contractors, delaying our progress 5. in original estimate Raquel was to supply bathware - she did not, this therefore was an additional cost 6. We offered to return the keys on collection of payment. "
