    "A horrible experience! Don’t use this man!
    After waiting 2 weeks for a new remote and spending $300 on a new aerial that made no difference, Andrew got angry when I asked questions, told me a shouldn’t question him and stormed out. We’ve been very badly treated!

    As soon as I asked questions you were very rude to us. My 90 year old mum is very upset.
    I see there are many bad reviews "

    "This man is a fraudster ripping people off. In this case “Andrew Marks” if that is his real name has pocketed $3,500k 3 months ago and no TV. Doesn’t answer his phone or texts. Taken the old TV away when asked for this back he said it has been dumped. This matter is now in the hands of the police."

    "We had this guy come to our home & told him that we were having an issue with reception on our tv. He said that he would have a look, next thing we know he was on the roof installing an Arial without asking if we wanted one. But we accepted what he done, he knows best. Then installed a crome cast in the bedroom that we aproved of then he connected a video recorder up . Our Freeview unit in the bedroom packed a sad so we asked him to replace it & he did with one that doesn't record so we asked to replace it with one that will as of yet no joy. $815.00 later still no joy.

    As you will see on the last comment that is mine I gave him the benefit of doubt. I think now that this guy IS a cowboy. We are in our 80s & not happy with this guy. BEWARE.

    "terrible he was great when he came over but when he left that was it he wouldnt answer phone calls or texts. I have finly thretend to contact police to get my playstation back he has then finily responded by text saying that he had broncites and couldnt answer phone and that he is going to put me into investigation with eqc becouse I was a lier and he also rcorded me with out telling me and has been a horrible and manipulitive person sorry for the spelling not to good with the whole thing and am verry angry ant how i have been treated and riped of he is a scamer."

    "I would never use this company again. We enlisted Andrew from Kiwi Television to repair our TV. Took a bit longer than the two days he promised but that was fine, what was NOT okay was when he returned the TV he asked my partner for the full amount on his invoice which unknown to my partner included the deposit of $115.00 I had already paid. I contacted Andrew straight away and he said he would sort it out , minus the quote for CD cleaning of approx $20.00 - that was 16 May, it is now 30 June and even though I have left repeated texts, voice messages and emails giving our bank details he obviously has no intention whatsoever of refunding our $95.00. He asked for the cash cheque to be written for the full amount and so I can only assume he fully intended to rip us off from that day.



    It is a life lesson for us as we trusted Andrew and he stood to gain recommendations as well as repeat work from us. We chose his service through a friend's recommendation and from the positive comments on HIS website. I concede some customers do seem to get a fair deal but the ones that don't get a real bad experience.

    Andrew would not return my calls and when I did manage to get hold of him his cell phone battery was low; he was with a customer; his emails were playing up, and I could go on......

    Also of concern is the picture quality of the repaired TV is poor as Andrew adjusted the Sky modulator and while he promised to phone me to talk me through getting it back to the original, well you can guess it never happened.

    What more can I say, Andrew why let yourself down with such appalling communication and disreputable behaviour. Not a good way to continue building a business.

    "Just to let you know Andrew since you are not returning my call had rung you in September 2013 about the misunderstanding with freeview that was taken out of our main tv when all I wanted was the freeview connected to my daughters tv in her bedroom, I said there was no rush now it's March 2014 am still waiting.Having left message heard about your fall still you have not contacted me, today at my own cost have had freeview connected at main tv a job that cost us $150.00 cash for you since your email invoice did not come though we have no proof that you were here to do that job now has cost extra THANK YOU should have looked here first instead of yellow pages no complaints but that job as such but your lack of communications needs improvement"

    "once we got all the miscomunications out of the way, and the missed dates by both of us, due to matters which could not be helped on both sides. things went very very well. andrew went out of his way to help us. and i hope he will continue to do so. sorry about the last bad feedback, a bad few months all round and i took it out on you. what it is to live in CHCH at the moment. i can only blame the eqc & insurance company for my bad behavour. so sorry andrew."

    "Andrew came to price electrical items for our EQC contents claim. On his first visit he removed our DVD hard drive recorder for further testing. In Dec 11 Andrew informed me that the DVD had no fault and that it would be return. It is now August 12 and the DVD player has not been return after setting up no less than four appointments and waiting for over 12hours for his non arrival. Andrew has never proactively contact me, the only prompt communication was Andrew following up on his bill being paid which I paid directly."
    Andrew responded:
    "I agree that there was some time before Mark\'s DVD was returned but it has now been returned with a negative outcome in terms of his EQC Claim. Being that there was no basis for an EQC claim it is questioned why Mark put this item under the umbrella of the overall claim in which we assessed 4 other items. It is a shame, especially when Mark was successful in claiming on the other items, to a very large extent, that he has chosen to write what he has but it is taken on the chin & with respect that I did not meet the expectations expected of me in terms of time frame. Sorry Mark"

    "I found Andrew very pleasant and helpful. I am in a wheelchair and he helped me with the EQC claim and forwarded required details to them. On payment from EQC I called him and he came and disposed of damaged TV for me. I highly recommend this company for service and friendliness."

    "I am in my mid 60\'sand ave recently moved into a new place which had a Plasma Display, no speakers and a mass of wiring that just made me think I was way out of my league.
    Phoned Andrew at Kiwi TV who later came around and found him to be a lovely young man.
    He has installed Freeview into my bedroom as my TV did not have it and wall mounted a new TV in my lounge and also a Stereo.
    I must of taken up way more hours than he charged me for and had a lot of patience as technical things are very confusing for me.

    Nice one Andrew, but I think I will be taking you up on your offer to call when ever I am confused. Many thanks & highly recommended.

    andrew came to collect a tv from my home and insisted on the $65.00 assesement fee immediately and refused to provide an invoice or receipt.He conveyed to me that he would complete the assement and return the tv within two days. I eventually recieved my tv back after nearly four weeks! During this time i rang him numerous times. He never answered the calls or returned my messages that i left, with instructions to call me back. His web site was ficticious and his physical address is not on the electoral register (is it any wonder).

    I eventually had to employ a lawyer in order to get his address and was just going to retrieve it when it was left by the back door!

    I was lucky but beware you might not get your tv back at all.

    "Craig is a very difficult man to deal with. We had his TV for EQC purposes and it was showing an unusual fault. We were keen to get to the bottom of it and like Murphy\"s Law, showed no signs of faulting at the workshop. We had it for a month and kept a constant eye on it. The TV had never fallen, but sometimes intense shaking can cause a problem. We tried our best and no fault was found. I am now positive that it was a reception issue. The fact that I noticed the fault to only be on analogue TV1 drew me to this conclusion. I did not have time to discuss this with Craig as he became abrupt and rude. I arranged to drop the unit off while his son was home and they live in Burwood and what with, and we all know, the road works on Marshlands Rd I was ten minutes late and no one was home. I rang Craig on his cell phone with no answer so rung his wife instead who was very polite and nice to deal with. It was her suggestion to put the TV around the back of the house as quote \"it will be perfectly safe\". I did so and covered it. Days before they got the standard paper work which is an invoice/assessment for $65.00 stating it was not earthquake related as it simply was not damaged. I think Craig, being that the 32\" Sony was not a FREEVIEW model was upset, like many that try, was unable to get a free up to date TV at the cost of those who really need the assistance. In addition, we provide a mobile service at no charge to the customer (no call out fee) and this is why we do not have an address open to the public.As a result we are convenient and able to keep our costs to the customer down. As for our Website, it is a work in progress and I have secured the domain address but what with the amount of work we have had due to the earthquakes I have been unable to devote time to completing the site. It is www.kiwitv.co.nz so please everyone, keep an eye out for things to come. And Craig, lighten up. "

    "We were very disappointed in Andrews after service, we where promised by email a warranty within 72 hrs of date of purchase (27-8-11) and small amount of money back that we overcharged by. To this date we have received nothing, even after weekly emails to follow up. Only a minor issue that if had been dealt with at the start we would have used this company again. "

    "A wee bit surprised at this customers posting. He was a referral from his father or father in-law. His father was impresed by my service for 2 reasons. One being that although being late on a Saturday afternoon I made a promise and kept that promise to have his TV up and running for that evening. Yet another victim of being sold a FREEVIEW TV that of course only works with line of sight of sugar loaf. All be it after 6pm on a Saturday I as promised turned up and set him up on Satellite FREEVIEW and gave him a $50 discount for hiis patience that day. His Son rings me and asks for the same deal which I hesitated in giving him before he then tells me he lives out at Prebbleton. Again I go out and he is most impressed, gave him a discount but not as much due to him hiding his location and what with a few extras including a lot of my time and advice gave him an account which was paid. It is agreed that somewhere along the line a miscalculation is made in the days ahead of $18 to which I agree. I am advised by email but again while I was off work and in hospital. Subsequently this posting was made the day I returned to work and have on this day refunded their $18. I have also sent them a $50 voucher to be spent at Harvey Norman."

    "Found Andrew to be not your average Tradesman/Techy. Felt very comfortable with him in my home and also to leave him to it for an hour or so when I went out, Job involved hooking up a very complex home theater that is way above my head. Although must admit I did say was probably an easy job I must say it was a handful and was surprised that even at 7pm on a Saturday he kept to task admitting HT to be his passion. Charged me about $50 more than estimated but again confess to that being me assuming what was required over the phone.... truth is, he should of charged me at least an extra $100 and i would of gracefully paid it. This will get ya, he even lent me a blu-ray for the weekend he had in his van so i could test drive my new system. Good bugger!!"

    "Do not use this guy he is very dishonest man. Kiwi TV is an insult to the Kiwi trademark. Took my money and havn't seen or heard from him since. Have called everyday, and he doesn't answer his phone or return messages."

    "Both him and his wife were very pleasant on the day. I turned up to do an EQC Assessment for all 3 TVs at their address. Although very odd that all 3 TVs fell over, 2 of them were LCD 32\\\\\\\" bought prior to Freeview  being installed as standard I took it upon the damage I saw and  photographed and their seemingly at the time pleasant manner to take them on face value and wrote the reports with attached photos. There was a small delay as I am a gout sufferer and was in Hospital the week the reports were expected via email. They received these reports on the 16th of September and it wasn\\\\\\\'t until 2 days later that I got an email from this site regarding the posting. They have all three reports, attached photos and a copy, as standard has been sent to EQC. They have gone from a Jeckel to Hide persona and when I rang about his posting after his getting his reports he was just arrogant and he Was hell bent in causing my business harm stating \\\\\\\"I\\\\\\\'m    going to get the Press to write a story on you then he hung up. Basically he was rude and unreasonable and I now doubt the authenticity of his claim due to his behavior. It is usually the over the top unreasonable people that draw attention to claims within EQC.  I am authorized to complete reports for customers for EQC, The EQC Claims Review Team directly also get me to complete reports for them due to my accuracy and profientcy and I work sometimes till 1.30am - 2am on reports after a big day at work. I object to Mr Tootell of Parklands comments but... You can\\\\\\\'t  please everyone and this man is clearly one whom is angry with the world and I feel sorry for him in the end. Thank you, for the very reasonable amount which you paid for my services. I am sorry that you do not understand my circumstances although you got all that you asked from Kiwi TV yet your posting remains unedited. We are all stressed during these unbelievable course of events in Christchurch but your reaction to a storm in a tea-cup is to my mind not necessary.  My wanting you to take a step back, look at your emotional response at the time and a view to changing your opinion would be appreciated Sir."

    "Andew came straight over on a Sunday and we live way out(rural ) he only charged us 50.00 which was alot cheaper than others i rang. he took the tv to work shop but the person i bought the tv from wanted it go to his own repair man so Andrew delivered i to them at no cost even though it cost him petrol. He deposited funds into my account immediately that he owed me and yes it did take some time to get hold of him but I realize he is extremely busy and people need to be patient. thank you Andrew .it was a pleasure"

    "I have been dealing with this company for some years now and at all time found Andy to be a man of his word, he has done numerious repairs for me and at no time have I felt that he was overcharging or making promises he coulnt keep.

    I wonder how many time people do not listen also they must remember that they are dealing with just 1 person while Any is dealing with many also Andy can be let down by bad customers, I have never found Andy to rude or abusive ad I know one many days Andy is in sever pain yet unlike many in our country he works to support himself when infact he could go on ACC and be a burden, my advice to people is, treat Andy as you would want to be treated speak to hime as you would want to be spoken to and you will find him as I have an extremly confident and professional service."
