    "We started the process to buy land and build a home to our requirments and through a a real estate broker found Milano Heights in Henderson. We signed up for a house and land pakage for $600 to build a 210m2 house on 455m2 section. We spent $8,000 on lawyers fees to get a water tight contract (thank goodness). We were in contact with an architect and together we planned our new home. There was no contact from the developer Mr Kumar or his builder Steve until a week out from the date the permits… and consents were to be provided to our lawyer and the building was to start. Steve came to visit us that week and asked to see our plans as he had not seen them. He made the comment that everything we were expecting was on the plans and the plans had been approved by council. 2 days later he came to see us again and told us another $30 to $50K was needed for the build. We said we were not prepared to pay as we had a fixed price build and everything in the plans had been signed off by the developer and he could not now ask for more money. 31st Aug the consent was to be given to our lawyer and as this did not happen we cancelled the contract. We have since heard this has happened to another house being built at Milano Heights. This developer is a truely unscrupulous person, gets peoples hopes up with promises then doesn\'t deliver asking for more money. we\'re just glad we spent the money on a lawyer and had a good contract that saved us the worry of having to find more and more money to build this house. We also had a valuation done on the plans and land and that came out at the original build price of $590K. A very devious and unscrupulous developer and builder. Also ownes a car company so I\'d be careful buying a car from him too. Be very very careful in your dealings with the develpment Milano Heights in Henderson or anyone connected to it."
