    "Due to an emergency (sunday morning) and long weekend.
    The Green Acres plumber was on time and nice enough. Fixed the "so called problem - new valve -and we got out hot water back and $341 later. Three weeks later the hot water again started to overflow, and not coming out of the taps properly.
    I called our local Plumber. Told him what had happened and told me my thermostat was shot (funny the Green Acres guy told me all ok). Believes we got ripped off with the first plumber. Had it fixed within 1/2 hour and a $140 later. Come on guys this is your specialty area - now do you know why we leave things a long time to get fixed as we get ripped off.

    "It was a terrible disappointment to say the lease. The did not really do the garden at all. They sprayed it twice, and left it at that. I was absolutely shocked. I would not recommend them to anyone at all, under any circumstances!"

    "The plumber was very personable and fully qualified but his knowledge, practices and efficiency were poor. The bill ended up being very expensive and on refusing to pay the bill I spoke to 3 other plumbers who explained to me it was a simple job an apprentice could have done, and it definately should have been half the price I was charged. They were shocked. I discovered that Greenacres actually have a higher charging rate and hourly rate than the non-franchise plumbers. In the course of the job, the plumber failed to communicate how expensive the task was getting, and why it needed to be, cost was not mentioned the entire time, and he took an extremely long time to do the very simple task. His obvious inexperience left us with a hole he cut in our floorboard that turned out to be completely unnecessary. And this, he cut in a manner so that the A4 sized piece of flooring is unable to slip back in. Unbelieveable! No compensation was given for this. To add insult to injury the accounts woman I dealt with in regards to paying the bill, was completely disinterested in our experience, denied the inefficiency, denied the costliness, denied the incompetence, was insulting and rude to me on a personal level, and kept trying to bully me into paying for a service that was unsatisfactory. I then surprisingly received a letter with a lower, revised amount, but still bullying and accusatory. All the dealings with this woman were difficult and carried out with a posinous manner. On paying the revised bill I sent emails complaing to the actual plumbing franchise owner and the overall Greenacres Franchise and have had no reply from either. Without a doubt, I do not recommend the Greenacres Plumbing Franchise in Auckland all owned by the same business, and it has put me off the entire Greenacres Franchise."

    "This guy did an OK job, but turned up late, needed directions 3 times, didn't turn up with all the tools or equipment required, didn't clean up at the end of the job and was expensive. Must be the reason why these guys were the only available plumbers for an emergency."
