"Called for a small job of disconnecting the power supply to shed ready to be demolished and replace a sensor light with a new one. Whilst the job was done fine and as I asked, how on earth can you charge for 2 hours work! 2 electricians showed up, it took one electrician 25 minutes to disconnect the power supply to the shed, he then went out to assist the other electrician with replacing a light fitting. So 1.35 man hours to replace a light fitting.
I guess this company does not rely on word… of mouth or repeat business neither of which they will get from me.

Also on a side note, they were an hour late"

"First got them to do a job in December, installing an outdoor light which I supplied and fixing a blown fuse in the kitchen. They were nice people and turned up on time. But charged 600 bucks which I thought was steep.
I contacted them again on a Tuesday via their website email to do a small heated towel rail install in the following Monday. No reply. So I followed up Thursday and left my details with a alady and registered the job. The lady said they would call back to confirm a time. Hadnt… heard back by friday lunch time so called again and the lady got me to register all my details again and the job as thougg it hadnt been. And said someone would call back. After 5pm Friday I called again and the after hours team said they wpuld leave a message for someone in the weekend to confirm and I had to give all my details again anf the job and address because the after hours team dont have that info

No call saturday

Called sunday and got an after hours team. The lady said she couldn't tell if things were booked as she was the after hours team and would I like to leave my details!!!

I said this was the 5th time I had contacted them and I had to let my tenant know if someone was coming.monday morning or not.since I first emailed them the Tuesday before. She said well im thr after hours team so I cant help. She was very short with me and impatient so I said that means nothing to me I just want to know where this job is at. She said would you like to leave your details!!!

I swear I was dealig with two different ladies max and you would think one might remember my address or name after that many times contacting them

I said no thanks I am assuming there is is no job registered so I will try somewhere else

I followed up with an email to express disappointment but never heard anything

I guess customer service and little jobs dont matter to them. But if you have a big job they will gladly turn up on time and then overcharge you"

"I have engaged the services of Laser Electrical twice, the most recent occasion was to completely re-wire an old building.
They get the job done but at a PREMIUM and seem to place little value on the on-going relationship/potential 'word-of-mouth' the their customers can influence.
From a customer aspect their quotes are really hard to understand and their billing equally so!
Whilst they get the job done I would not recommend these guys, their charges are exorbitant (i.e. outdoor… lights quoted at over $200 each that I ended up buying myself for $40 each.

The attention to detail (i.e. plugs mounted level to floors, missing plug covers etc) also lets them down.

AND .. I am still waiting for them to show up with the switch plates they offered to swap for the correct ones for my house (which I have paid for!) and that was at least 18 months ago!"

"Needed a ventialtion system. Enquired with HRV, Moisturemaster, DVS and Laser Electrical (Smartvent). Mike at Laser (Rosebank Rd) was the only salesperson who actually called me back so we went with them. Fast, efficient installation with minimum disruption.
Only one minor gripe - the post job cleanup was not as thorough as I'd have hoped. Some wire and cable offcuts were left behind that required a quick, 1 minute sweep.
Other than that, I would highly recommend Laser (Rosebank Rd) for your… electrical work."
