    "Waste Management clearly say on their website and we were advised by friends and the Bunnings man who sold the flexibin bag that it takes more like the 10 days than the 5 when they say "5-10 working days" for Auckland customers. Knowing this I booked pick up when it was half full so we could fill it up over the next two days and then still be ready to go one day early. Waste Management picked up my bag half full 2 days after booking it which is not the 5-10 working days promised. Took me 3 phonecalls to get some response with no one calling me back, finally got through to a supervisor who was basically "not my problem" attitude. Horrendous customer service and they need to put on their website we will come and collect anytime between 1 and 10+ days (when we are good and ready) - afterall you are just another customer. Buyer beware if you use them - definitely be ready and don't have time plan or expect ANY customer service."

    "Ordered a bin online. Had a crew set up to fill it. It never showed up despite paying for it online. Promised delivery the following Friday - same thing happened. Eventually arrived on the Tuesday but could only half fill it as planned help wasn't available. Useless."

    "WM gives satisfactory service once you can get past the atrocious website and lousy online customer service.
    I first used them a few years ago and at that time found the website and phone assistance easy enough to use. I signed up for a year's green waste collection, which was carried out regularly and satisfactorily for a reasonable price.
    This year I approached the site again with very different results. Information on the website is now fragmented, contradictory and incomplete. For clarification about available collection contracts I contacted the customer service staff online. It took several attempts to get even some of the information I needed from the anonymous and semi-literate staff member who replied. This has typified my experience ever since in trying to deal with this company--staff appear to mean well, but are woefully lacking in communication skills with both customers and other departments of the business.

    Nevertheless, after considerable aggravation, I am now set up with a reliable monthly collection of my garden waste for a moderate fee. Supposedly I'm able to log into my account to pause deliveries and payments, which is a wonderful idea. However, since the website refuses to allow me to sign into the account, this is unavailable to me for now--and none of my emailed enquiries has produced any resolution from the customer service staff...

    "Do not use this company for residential wheelie bin services.
    They are useless.
    They will not remove the bin unless there are no cars in front of it on the kerb. We have placed numerous complaints and emails and photos about how the bin was accessible but their customer services team did not do anything about the problem. We left the bin in front of a fire hydrant and they still could not empty it.
    The bin was not serviced at least once a month.
    Their service is and customer service is one of the worst I have ever dealt with. When we sent letters of complaint they have been ignored for months. I have just cancelled our service with them after another missed collection today.

    They are very happy to take your money but cannot get their drivers to do what council drivers are capable of.
